HolidayIQ Reviewer Subhash Saha adds, “Mangalajodi is a small fishing village near Khurda, Orissa. The best time to visit here is from November to February. Boating is available here for birding in Mangalajodi wetlands with a bird guide. Chilika Lake, Mukteswar Temple, Rumbha and Vetnai (a village where you find Blackbucks) are the nearby tourist spots here for sightseeing. The road is well connected with the highway (NH6) and railways. The nearest station is Balugaon and Khurda station road. The nearest town is Tangi. Two or three eco-camps are present here for birders and tourists. The temperature varies between 16 and 30-degree Celsius in winter. A car is required for the tour at all time.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Anant Jain says, “The lake is very nice. The area is under the control of the armed forces. This lake is very deep and you are not allowed to go in it or do boating. The view is amazing and the scene looks beautiful. Most of the hotels arrange a bonfire near the lake and you may spend a day there. It is a nice area for photo shoots. You may definitely add it to your itinerary if you are visiting Leh and have 2 days to spare.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Pratik Mohapatra says, “You can reach there after a good long drive. It's open until 5-5.30, so make sure you reach there in the morning or by noon - you will easily take 2 hours in there. Boating will excite you there. As the boatmen will take you near the gushing streams and spin the boat for a couple of minutes. The place is a heaven for shutterbugs as it's very beautiful. It was adapted for the blockbuster movie Baahubali. Don't try to swim there as the current is strong. There is also a possibility of hiking for trekkers. There is a big Hindu temple near and a well known Dargah, so if you have a religious affinity you can visit it too. ” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Snehal Raibole shares, “Flanking the Kabini river, Nagarhole is a blend of dense jungle and open grounds along the river banks, which makes it perfect for wildlife watching. The park is home to tiger, leopard, elephant, gaur, barking deer, the horned antelope, sloth bear, dhole, bonnet macaque and common langur, plus 270 species of birds. The wildlife safari experience is something that you'll cherish forever owing to the number of rare animal sightings this park is known for. Make the effort and get up early to watch some of the most colorful and beautiful birds while boating across the river. The mist combined with the chill in the air and the streaks of morning light dancing across the horizon is a sight to behold. Go wild in Nagarhole. ” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Mohammed Ashiq adds, “The Hogenakkal Waterfall in Dharmapuri district of Tamilnadu is famous for its boating experience under the waterfalls in small manually navigated boats. The place has excellent sightseeing facilities and the boating experience there is different from that of other places in many aspects. It is better to go in a boat through Kaveri River during the daytime. A minimum of 3 members should enter the boat at a time. The life jacket provided there should be worn during the boating. It is a place worth seeing.” Read Full Review

HolidayIQ Reviewer Zenobia Tamboli shares, “If you are lucky, you can even catch rainbows forming in the gorge where the falls plunge. Weekends can be really crowded with busloads of tourists at the site, and it can get very noisy and messy. But weekdays are quiet. Food is a problem here, as the only good place is the KSTDC run canteen which is purely vegetarian, and although it's open day long, there is a very limited choice. A short distance away from the falls is the Talakalale Lake and dam where you can enjoy boating on the clear waters. The road from Honnavar to Jog is not too bad and the route is very scenic. ” Read Full Review
