1. Parmarth Niketan

Located on the banks of sacred Ganga River, famous for its Hawan on the ghat of Parmarth and Ganga Aarti that takes place daily in the morning and evening.

HolidayIQ Traveller Pammu Parvinder Chawla from Mumbai shares, “It was a beautiful experience to visit this place as we had gone just 3 days before dussehra so the grand aarti with lot of people was amazing. Don't have any idea whether it was because of this festivity or it was the Modi swachh bharat campaign or something else but it was very clean environment the aarti was beautiful, the water of Ganga was clean I think there was a shortcut to go to the ashram from the hotel Ganga kinare that we were staying but you had to walk the Ram jhula or Lakshman jhula to go across since I am on a wheelchair had to go by car by a different route to that place and to my luck it was off season so got the car parking very close to the place and the helper pushed the wheelchair all the way to the actual place where aarti was taking place sat above the steps and enjoyed the whole aarti with bhajans, overall a beautiful experience.”

2. Gita Bhavan

Gita Bhavan is dedicated as a museum for puranic and mythological awareness of the common public. The Gita Bhavan encloses many paintings and statues of characters from Hindu Mythology.

It provide all the comfort at it best, but only one thing to remember above this place please book well in advance or else you may face a problem due to non available of the room. Service here are best, place is quiet and sightseeing is at it best all day.”

3. Sivananda Ashram

Sivananda ashram offers selfless service, contemplation and ego-annihilation, is a perfect atmosphere that can carry aspirants to their goal of God-realisation. The Sivananda Ashram is the headquarters and spiritual focal point of a vast worldwide organisation called "The Divine Life Society".

4. Omkarananda Ganga Sadan

Omkarananda Ganga Sadan is a beautiful guest house in Rishikesh, right on the banks of Ganga with a picturesque view of the holy river and the surrounding hills. These serene setting provides the perfect lodging for yoga students or groups; special accommodation arrangements are available for Yoga-groups.

HolidayIQ Traveller Vibha Deshpande shares, “People from across the globe stay here. The rooms were simple but clean and comfortable. They had a program of Balinese dance which I enjoyed the most. The location was such that I could walk Ramjhula and from there to Laxman Jhula and take a round to be back. there were small hotels near by, but I preferred the food served at my Ashram which was mild, simple and homely. I can not forget the lovely tea and paranthas served in the morning by Didi( the cook).”
