HolidayIQ Traveller Deepak Kumar Vishnoi from Adra shares, “Varkala offers a lot of potential as far as tourism is considered in terms of its beautiful beach. A number of restaurants, bars and shops all along the cliff offer a fantastic view of the sea. Most of the resorts are on the cliff overlooking the sea and Papanasam beach is excellent. The water is very clear and beach has a very gradual gradient. It provides lot of safety and you can easily walk up to 100 metre inside the sea.”

2. Chill In The Backwaters Of Alleppey

HolidayIQ Traveller Akshaya Patil from Mumbai shares, "The calmness of the water and the lush green coconut tree landscape around makes its a ideal place for a relaxed holiday. This was the best thing that happened to me on Kerala tour. I just loved that experience and if I get a chance I would like to enjoy this experience time again and again. I stayed on a houseboat in Alleppey. The Vembanad Lake and the tributaries that flow into the lake, they are just mesmerising."

HolidayIQ Traveller Aruna Suryanarayana from Mysore shares, “This place is really very nice to visit during the whole year. The drive between Hunsur and Kutta is around 40 km. During monsoon and winter, you can see lush green jungle with elephants, peacocks and deer as common sightings. Have been on this route thrice and I was really lucky to have the big cat sighting, twice. Once, it was a just blind-and-miss sighting of a leopard another one of the tiger. My heartbeat went high when I saw the majestic animal crossing the road in the deep jungle just after the forest guest house near Morkal village in the middle of jungle.”

You have to spare special time to visit again at night time for light & sound show.” HolidayIQ Traveller Aditya Dharpally from Hyderabad adds, “We all visited Golconda Fort and had a great time. It is a great place, which showcases sculptures, artillery and the main thing is that when you clap near the front door entrance, it will be heard at a longer distance. A block iron there is very heavy and cannot be lifted by anyone."

HolidayIQ Traveller Soumyajit Kundu from Kolkata shares, “Its one of my favourite destinations in India. Though the weather is hot throughout the year, given its position near to the sea, but the place has a different charm with the beautiful French colonies, clean and well maintained roads, does not feel we are in India. Rishi Sri Aurobindo rightly preached in this place and many throng to visit the Aurobindo Ashram, Auroville. The beach within the city is not like a regular beach with white sand, its more with boulders used to prevent damage from sea waves. If you want to enjoy beach you can go further towards Auroville and get some guest houses which give more of a sea beach feel. There are two wheelers available for rent and are the best mode of travel within the city. The total area is very small so you can plan your trip for maximum 3 days which includes Ashram, sightseeing and leisure as well. One of the other major attraction is trying out French Delicacy in French Town.”
