"It's amazing experience to visit Dhordo - White desert of Kutch. If you are travelling to Bhuj during December to March time frame; you must visit Rann utsav arranged by Gujarat Tourism. There is tent city created over here in which you can rent a tent. Renting a tent is little bit expensive; but it's worth if you want to experience night at white desert. Don't miss sunset at White desert. If you are into photography you will find some amazing landscape; especially at Sunset and during full moon night. Dhordo is name of village where this Rann Utsav is organized. It's just 65-70 km away from Bhuj. If you are not planning to stay in tent, you can stay at Bhuj and visit Dhordo by Car or Bus. If you are taking private vehicle, it's necessary to take permission from Kutch Tourism officer and register your vehicle and number of person travelling. Optionally, you can also get instant permit at Dhordo also, but usually there are big queues over there as visitors are not aware of that they can take permit from Bhuj very easily," says HolidayIQ Traveller Nishith from Ahmedabad.
