Set amidst the spectacular Sula Vineyards of Nasik, it has been growing from strength to strength. Music, wine and serious leisure is the motto of this festival. India’s Gourmet World Music Festival which has grown  from 1,500 people in 2010 to 3,800 to 4,000 people in 2011 promises to be even bigger and better this year. Last year’s event witnessed an unreal turnup of 12,000 festgoers who were blown out of their freaking mind over the great food, music and the genera chilled out vibes in the  idyllic environs of the winery's beautiful open-air, Greek-Style amphitheater.

It is one of those few festivals in the country that boasts of an incredible lineup of activities like grape stomping, wine tasting, foot massage and tattooing. Sulafest delights people not just by serving wine but it happily intoxicates wine lovers with irresistible performers who play rock, folk, blues, electronic and reggae music. The line-up of the artists performing at this year’s event include The Cat Empire, Kailasa, Edu Imbernon, Balkan Beat Box, Success, Rik Watts, and some of the most popular reggae and DJ from India and abroad.

HolidayIQ traveller Ayush Paul from Mumbai shares, “Getting to Sula Vineyards isn't a struggle really and that becomes an extreme delight when you get to Sula. The experience begins even before you have really parked your car, the road -rather the avenue lined with grapevines, give a royal welcome into the experience. But one word of advice, get there before anyone else does - and wait it out till sunset. If you can somehow get all the car groups to give Sula a skip - you will find awesome music playing at the balcony restaurant. Some say, the best time to visit is during the Sulafest. But I think some quite won't do you bad either. Whatever you do, Do not forget to sip down some red over the sun set. This one is not for the bucket listers and point hoppers.”
