Also known as the Dubai Creek, it is a natural seawater inlet of the Arabian Gulf located in the heart of Dubai with 14 kilometres length and between 100-500 meters width that runs South-East till Ras Al-Khor wildlife Sanctuary. It serves as a division between Bur Dubai and Deira and has played a pivotal role in the city's economic development.

The traditional style of life that was prevalent in Dubai from the mid 19th century till the 1970s is reflected at Al-Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, where buildings with high air towers built with traditional building materials are aligned side by side, separated by alleys, pathways and public squares.

Al Ain means ‘The Spring’ and is the emirate’s heritage heartland, one of the world’s oldest continually inhabited settlements, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is located north of the Al Mutawa's district and east of the Al Jhali district.This impressive oasis is filled with palm plantations.

Located at the Al Shindagha area, it is strategically placed at the protruding part above Khor Dubai, which made it stand amidst Deira and Bur Dubai, overlooking the Arabian Gulf. It was the residence of Al Maktoum ruling family till 1958 after it was a residence and premises for the Dubai monarch at the time, Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum.
