Goa Lawah is one of the most famous temples in entire Bali but that hardle serves as a distractor from the fact that it is basically built around a cave opening that is inhabitated by thousands of bats. Don't worry though, the bats are harmless to humans!

Now this is a place that is a modern medical mystery. Commonly known as the village of the deaf, Bengkala has had an abnormally large number of cases of congenital deafness and the local have even developed a unique sign language of their own.

The ancient Bali village of Trunyan is a strange place to be at. The locals neither bury nor cremate their dead and instead wrap the dead bodies and take it to the graveyard, placing it by the foot of a fragrant tree, enclosed by a wooden fence. As you can imagine, skulls are in plenty here and can spook anyone out.

The now defunct Taman Festival Bali park is situated at some distance from Sanur and its coastal region and given no immediate plans from the government to renovate it, the ruins give an extremely creepy appearence, thanks to the outgrowth of dense foliage against a dilapidated background.

Day 5. The 'Haunted Hotel' of Bedugul

The P.I. Taman Rekreasi Hotel & Resort was supposed to be completed in the 90s, but construntion was halted midway and it never got completed. Locals believe that the place is haunted and should not be entered during night as spirits wander around the broken structure.
