Overall, travel experience was good. Was like I reached the deporting Bus Stop on time. But the bus was not there it came 30 minutes late. And then within 20 the bus started. The bus condition was good. There was no pillow in the seats and the charging point was not working. The staff were good but not excellent. I liked the bus comfort but sometimes it sounds dhan dhan type. And then coming to speed was good. We reached destination in 11 hours.
The bus contains highly comfort seats and berths. I had chosen a seat beside the window. There is bigger space between seats to keep luggage and to place your legs. I slept like a baby in that comfortness. I got in to it at Madivala, then It went to Whitefield to pick other passengers. Then it didn't stop anywhere. At 5 am it reached Coimbatore.
The journey from Ooty to Kodaikanal was taken by me in a small bus. The roads are very good and the bus also plied smoothly, but it was a small bus with very cheap amenities. I did not take a cab as I was alone travelling with my family. There are no good buses available in this route and I could not find a single good one. The view through the roads was good. Once one comes down from the Ooty hill and run through plain area and again climb up to another hill for Kodaikanal. The road quality was however very good. It contains around 16-18 hair pin curves which are really enjoyable.
The best time to travel is after 8 pm and sleeper is a very good option. But we will get only few buses in AC. The journey was comfortable and there were only one stop during the journey. The seats were good and they provided entertainment too by playing Malayalam Movies, they didn't had ample charging points and they provided pillows only. Should not have heavy food before travelling, need to carry water and snacks, because itís quite expensive and the place where they stopped for having food. Itís better not to carry hair oil.
We reached Kothdwar at 4am and there was no public transport till 7am. So we hired a sharing taxi and it charged Rs 100 per person but it was worth it. The feeling is quite heavenly when you travel early morning in the mountains.
There are no AC buses on the route so better travel by car and the dhaba where they stopped are not really good. So carry eatables and primarily itís better to explore than to research.
In bus I always prefer travelling at night times only. As its best because you save a lot of time and get time to relax. I travel by Non-Ac bus. It is comfortable for me. Bus has very few stops during the journey. Seats are in good condition. They are the best as they provide pillows and drinking water. It is nice to travel Keep the way as you follow.
