Took Garuda Bus from Chennai bus stand. Bus was around 20 mins late. Not that much crowded. Gave one 500 ml water bottle free. Seat was Multi axle. Road was awesome just like butter. But they put only telegu movies on tv with a loud volume. Requested them to off. After many passengers requested for switching off, they turned off the tv. One break during the journey. Place was good.

I am very happy with my first ever journey in an A/C bus. The journey was good. And the facilities provided are up to the mark. There were lot of facilities provided in the journey like water bottles, newspaper, wi-fi, bed sheets, Television etc. Thanks a lot to APSRTC.
APSRTC Buses are punctual in departure as well as arrival. The staff was supportive enough for new passengers. Comfortable seats/berths and all required amenities are provided. Alsoo bus stop at Vijayawada was pretty decent in terms of cleanliness, toilets, hygiene etc. Overall very good experience and I recommend my friends also to take the service.
I travel to attend exams at kkd. And the trains are too busy. So got my ticket online for apsrtc bus. And that was fast secure happy and comfortable. There not much delay at stops. I regularly travel and this was the best of my journeys. Would prefer this everytime.
I traveled through a APSRTC luxury bus. because I have no other go on that day. There is no private bus service from Anantapur to Tirupathi. It is an ordinary service. It stops at each and every bus station. So that we won't get proper sleep in the journey. Better to go by train.
The journey from Bangalore to Madanapalle is very usual. Later, we picked RTC bus from Madanapalli to Horsley hills-direct bus.
APSRTC kept very good condition vehicles especially for horsley hills- the Ghat eligible buses. The Journey experience is very amazing in the ghat road with multiple turnings. We should not keep our hands outside on this journey because the roads are not that much spacious enough.
While coming also, we got the RTC bus back. The downward journey also gives the same experience.. Like adventurous with multiple turnings with that dangerous roads. If any small mistake is happend, then the vehicle will be in the valley. Hard to imagine. So, please be careful and check your vehicle condition before going to this location. Vehicle pickup, fuel and Brake system.

Usually I travel from Bangalore to Madanapalle on holidays. There is no train facility to madanapalle. So, I go in Bus. I went through RTC buses sometimes, KSRTC and sometimes APSRTC.
I started from Majestic. The APSRTC buses are charging more than KSRTC buses and in some vacations like holidays, there are charging one and half fare from passengers. The journey is of course safe. They go slowly. It's too boring because there is no entertainment in bus like TV, AUdio, etc. While in KSRTC buses, they charge less fair and they go fast also. But, staff performance is not better than APSRTC people.
There is lack of KSRTC bus timings in both ways. And evening times, there are less direct buses from Bangalore to Madanapalle from Majestic. Only, Kadapa and Nellore buses are available.
Its better to carry some audio or video device for better time pass in journey.

I travelled from Hyderabad to Vijayawada on APSRTC Garuda bus. I enjoyed a lot travelling in the bus because it arrived in time and reached destination in time. I have no problem with the bus it was very good. I can suggest to travel in this bus because it gives us good experience.
I was a frequent traveler to Khammam by train. But the disadvantages with trains are that they are always crowded. You cannot travel comfortably by train without having a reservation and sometimes we may have to travel for an unexpected work for which we cannot reserve seats on a train for the same day (it is highly impossible as the trains are always crowded).
So, the ideal way is to travel by Bus. I was a bit skeptical of it though, as it is my first long journey by Bus. I have booked a ticket on a luxury deluxe run by the state owned transport corporation as I was a bit skeptical of the rash driving by the private owned buses.
Seats in the bus are comfortable and as it is a non-AC bus i had a good view of the road-side throughout my journey. Yes, it is worth watching the nature in this highway(warangal to khammam). The bus will halt near a hotel for the passengers to have their lunch/dinner. Overall the journey was a comfortable one and I had reached the destination within 3 hours.
The only disadvantage is the cleanliness of the toilets in the Bus complex at various halts. However, it is common where thousands of public use the same toilets. Happy Journey!
