It leaves Aurangabad at 4.00 pm in the evening and reaches Mapusa early morning or at most by 8.00 am the next day. The best part is you can at least give half day attendance to your job or work and catch up the bus and you are in Goa by early morning. No waste of time and itís like you can utilise the entire day after reaching Goa.
The bus stops almost at good intervals so no issue of toilet breaks in journey and if you are ok with pissing around on road side. lol.
Yes there is an issue and that is with the AC as itís always too cold. So you need to carry warm clothes if you are not used to it and especially on your return journey from Goa to Aurangabad itís even more chilly.
When you are in a group, travel in bus. That way, you can have a lot more fun and participate in other things as well. The place is really good, and on the way you can see a lot of things indeed. But the bus in which we travelled was not so good, no blankets, no TV, no good halts so may the journey was not all that good. But I am happy with what I got to see around me.
Paulo Travels bus is not in a good condition. Thought we had already book so we don't have any option. But they supported good to all our office employee to enjoy the trip. Bus operators are good and supportive. Whenever there is need we go to them they helped us.
Enough lazing around and time to get back to reality. We need to head back home. But not before we have said a few hellos to our friends in Lonavala and Mumbai. So lets do it by another route. At this time the roads were from Mapusa to Pune ( for Lonavala) and onward to Mumbai from there. So onward journey via Volvo service that leaves Mapusa at eight in the morning. It was a Wednesday, the market day at Mapusa. So few fresh muffins and cafes later we were on our way. Nothing in Goa moves really fast, not that we really mind! Slowly we were crossing Sawantbari and onward to Belgaum. Oh the lovely ghats! Nothing can describe the sheer beauty of them. Do it once, you will cherish it. The small eatery next to the pit stop at Belgaum served a fried rice which can be any rated as the best that we had ever had. From there through Kohlapur, Satara and onto Pune by the late evening. Mumbai is about three hours away thanks to the expressway. The bus will go on its way to Ahmedabad. We say bye here.
Bus facility is good but for a family trip you must consider trains because trains provide better toilet facilities. Besides, Konkan route is an extremely beautiful route to enjoy the scenes around. Try out sleeper bus if you are travelling at night. Besides this Goa will go wild.
I booked a ticket for Multi Axle AC Sleeper bus from Mumbai to Goa, and when the date came I was told the bus which was at 9 PM is cancelled so I have to take 8:30 PM bus, so I reached the pickup point on time and after 5 minutes when the bus came I was shocked to see that bus. It was a normal AC Sleeper bus, the conductor came to me and said that the other bus is cancelled and I have to adjust with this bus, I had no other options as it was the last bus so I boarded and was asked to take the seat. When I reached my berth I saw someone else was already there, when asked, I was told that these passengers are coming from Ahmadabad and its their seat. I booked a Lower birth number 5 and I was given a upper birth number 16, this was pathetic. I had to face so many other problems during the whole journey and it was a journey of 13 hours but the bus driver made it into a journey of 17 Hours. Please do not travel by Paulo Travels. Neeta, is one of the best buses for travelling around.
The overall journey was good and it was easy to find the bus office in Pune and the staffs were helpful. The seats were really comfortable and we had a good journey overall. The bus did halt at a restaurant for dinner, and it was very costly indeed. I reached Calangute without any hassle.
Ok for day journey ONLY. Seats were bit comfortable but A/C sound was irritating; rnno entertainment was available that made the journey more boring. And blankets were also not given. My advice to travellers is that try to make the journey during the day, at least you will have something to look at outside the window!
I had booked the Paulo travels sleeper despite having a bad experience earlier. This time the bus delayed me by 1 and half hour to reach Bangalore and the night dinner stop was also worst. I wont recommend Paulo Travels to anyone. Now i switched to Neeta travels and happy with their service.
