In the Month of June, I visited Pune. The Climate was cool with the starting of rainy season and I had got a great shopping experience in Pune. Even the traffic made me sad because I can't see it anywhere.

Before the start of the journey first thing I did was to search on the google for any travel experiene on this trip. But no it was as old as 2015. Actually I was wanting to have an update on the condition of the roads because it was almost in the construction when I travelled by bus when I was heading by bus from Pune to Hyderabad by bus when my father was serious.
I had just bought a new Mahindra XUV 500 W 10 Drizzle silver on 28 Aug 17 and I was wanting to enjoy the long weekend which was approaching on 30 sep 17 to 02 Oct 17, With all sorts of jitteriness I went to the office of my boss for an extension of my weekend for two more days for 03 and 04 Oct 17 ; In front of the boss I blabbered and he understood and told okay. Then came a yell in the inner fibres of the heart of ecstacy of driving my xuv for a long journey.
Immediately called my friend sunny who was also from Hyderabad staying put at Pune to join. He too managed the leave from his boss and luckily my nephew was in Pune a grown up youngster. So in total 5 persons wife daughter nephew, friend and self plan to commence our journey on 30 Sep 17. Our meeting time at house was 1800h as usual we could assemble at 1950h. Then after heavy brain storming we tied up all our luggage on the roof top of the vehicle and finally could start our journey at 2010h.
The commencement was with a welcome rain which transformed into a spoil sport resulting into a jamming roads by numerous vehicles on the road. By the time we could reach hadapsar it was 2200h. The vehicle gears could not be changed above 3rd gear. Ultimately left the outskirts of the roads. A thorough drive for an hour resulted into a demand for supper felt very bad that I am not able to get the continuity on road I reluctantly alighted for the supper. Almost 45 min went off for the supper.
Then there was talks for an hour along with my driving. The roads very good with four lane highway till Solapur. Didnot feel the distance due to the impeccable roads.
As soon as I crossed Solapur the roads were single roadswith pot holes in regular intervals. By this time all the passengers in my car were fast asleep. The roads fully empty and the areas were disastrously without any habitation me my vehicle and the bumpy roads.
This stretch continued for 80 kms which was the border of Maharashtra and entry towards karnataka. The diversion boards was as confusing if only the lorry drivers werenot there then I would have gone in the wrong place out of the road. Hence don"t get carried away by the construction worker diversion roads.
The stretch of bad roads continued for 40 moe kms in addition to 80 kms and ultimately at about 3 in the morning I made the entry to zaheerabad. By this time you would have analysed that I was driving all along myself through out the night. Now sandman was approaching my eyes. With utmost difficulty I could keep my eyes open this struggle with the sleep carried on for an hour and to soothe my hardship the road again became perfectly alright after zaheerabad and I could reach Hyderabad by 0645h next day morning on 30 Sep 17.
Lesson learnt: Wrong timing to start the journey because two hours got wasted since it was the peak traffic hours of Pune.
Very dangerous to drive in night and that too 3 to 5 in the morning is the dangerous timing if you are driving all alone throughout the night. In such cases take a nap for ten minutes by parking the vehicle by the side of petrol pump.
Government should especially the karnataka belt of the trip to be repaired at the ealriest.
Overall experience was really good

Roads are ok and not to forget the somewhat mountainous roads, the slopes and the steeps and the microscopic views of the city that one comes across every now and then which are such pleasure when you are driving back from work. The cosmopolitan crowd well behaved and well cultured Urdu speaking people make such a good company. Arey Hyderabadi Hindi is not to be missed out.

I am a Mumbaiya and my spouse is a Delhiate, we keep on debating over which city is better amongst the two. But both of us have now very amicably agreed that bhai Hyderabad...more »

Excellent one, long listing in our mind and heart.

Good locations and people are very good to guide you. Infact hotel has been arranged by Inter City travels and arrangements were really nice. So we did not face hindrances inside the city. But city has lot of traffic. Hope Telangana government would do all to systemise the intercity travel disciplines.
