Excellent road, seems to be part of golden quadrilateral project. I could test the upper speed limits of my Car. We all enjoyed the smooth road with no hurdles, nice road-marking and signages. Nice wind mill views on the way. Seems to be ocean of wind mills before Kanyakumari.

It was comfortable and very interesting travel. The landscapes enroute was good and eye catching. One must carry with him plenty of water and a good route map and music CDs of one's choice. Small pillow will be very helpful. The driver should be able to converse in Hindi and English both. Light snack should be carried.

First I visited Madurai and then Rameshwaram and finally travelled to Kanyakumari by Innova vehicle being a middle aged person I never felt tired while travelling and it's the best vehicle to drive with. Local transport is advisable since roads are also very good with restaurants, dhabas at every 10 km. One should carry water bottles for avoiding outside waters.

It was the second time when I had to visit Chennai, and we planned to make the most out of our journey. So, we decided to visit the Rameshwaram Temple, and from there on travelled all the way to Kanyakumari via road.

The NH is damn nice and the smooth roads are not so often seen around in North India. Though consisting of about three toll plazas, we travelled all the way at a speed near about 100 kilometres per hour.

The journey is beautiful as, you will be able to see a large, very large number of wind turbines. Awesomeness in full, There are some rock structures too that make you stop and snap them. It was a nice journey.

The road connecting from Rameshwaram is not very good, so we were recommended to go near Madhurai, from there the road to Kanyakumanri was very good, the view was very good, the best time to start is after having breakfast, the windmills were a site to see, lot of green, refreshment stall were good.
