Shani Shingnapur is a Holy Place, known for its honesty

I am not sure why this place is named as Ahmednagar, as far as my review goes it is about the place Shani Shignapur. Shingnapur is a place where no one steals, there are no thief. However that was the story we heard till date.

Now things have changed, I am sure many would have come across the people trying to fool you on your way to the temple. Those people will sound very honest and humble. You will feel that he will not cheat on you. But at the end they will take you to a shop which will sale prasad worth Rs. 100 at Rs. 600 or even more. They will lure you by saying there is are parking, and they are gram panchayat people. So these days is cheating and stealing going on in the very own city of Shani Dev.

A trip to Ahmednagar

I had been to Ahmednagar by road in March 2016. Ahmednagar is easily accessible by all the three modes of transport i.e Road, rail and air. The nearest airport to Ahmednagar is 110 kilometers away at Aurangabad. The must-visit attractions around Ahmednagar include the Ahmednagar fort, Chand Bibi Palace and the Visual Ganapati Temple. The Ahmednagar fort dates back to the Nizam Shahi dynasty. It was built by Malik Shah in 1427. The Chand Bibi palace is a 3 storeyed structure and situated 13 kilometers from Ahmednagar and houses the tomb of Salabat Khan. The Visual Ganapati temple is located in Maliwada area of Ahmednagar town.

526 year old, beautiful city

Ahmednagar, May be the one and only city who has it's own Birth-date. It was One of the Three best cities in the World at Ahmed Nijam shah's era. Almost 343 wonderful monuments are in the city. Chandbibi quarter ( Salabat khan;s Tomb) ,. Farahbaksha quarter, Bagroja, Damdi mosque, Narsimha Temple ( Bhatodi Pargaon), Hasta -Behasta quarter, Biggest Museum ( For Modi Lipi) and Also The Biggest Bhuikot Fort, etc. So many places to visit near Nagar like Shirdi Sai-Baba, Shani Shingnapur, Ahilyabai Holkar's birth place (Choundi). For the History lovers Ahmednagar is the Must visit place. For Food lovers it's a Food Paradise. And for Others Let's come to enjoy the Coolness and relaxation.

A town full of historic places and famous for Marriage Basta purchases

Ahmednagar city is the District headquarter and has historic importance. There are a number of monuments, VRDE, Cavalry Tank Museum, Nagar Fort where Nehru, Vallabhbhai, Ajad were imprisoned, Mehrabad, etc . The roads within the city are not so good and narrow. Haphasard parking, breaking rules are the usual thing and one has to be very careful while driving within the city . One observes a lots of educational institutions as well hospitals in the city . There are three main bus stands and the railway station linking the city to the rest of India . Shirdi, Shanishingnapur, Paithan, Aurangabad can be approached from Ahmednagar.

Nice place for a short trip-Ahmednagar

Ahmednagar is a nice place for a short trip or a stop-by place while visiting Aurangabad from Mumbai/Pune. We had a brief halt here while on a trip to Aurangabad, Paithan, Ajanta & Ellora Fort, Chand Bibi Palace etc. Are some of the historical places to visit but the star attraction is the Cavalry Tank Museum with a collection of Tanks & Cannons from 1st World War era till recent Vijayant Tank. This is the only Tank museum in India and one of the few in world with a fantastic collection and worth visiting. The museum is managed by Military so it is well maintained & clean You require 2-3 hrs. To see the museum if you want to see the items in detail. Local food is good & tasty.
