Chatam Saw Mill

Perhaps a must to see place. Recalls the time when the Indian prisoners were tortured and made to work like slaves by the British Rulers.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Sorry, No shopping here. But see the varieties of Teak Wood produced at Andaman Islands, at the museum. One may appreciate the fine wood work and craftsmanship on the display.

Activities & things to do: Not much

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Very simple way to reach. Most of the local buses terminate at Chatam Saw mill. All these buses move around the Portblair town, so one can get into the bus from any where. The place is close to one of the Jetty and hence, have a great view of Large ships at a close distance.
