Perfect destination from city life

Kaluk is a must visit place for whom who are tired of daily routine city life. This place is calm & cool. The 4 km evening walk from kaluk to Rinchenpong is the most romantic walk of our life. The woods are adventures. My advice to the travelers to visit Kaluk also with Gangtok & Pelling.

A nice place

Kaluk ( west sikkim is nice place to stay for 3-4 days if you just want to spend a quality time with your partner. The place is remote but views from there are perfect. Surrounded by forest you get the feel of living in the wilderness. The best part is the local people around, you chat with them freely and thus you get to know their lifestyle.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: You can relish the local food like thupkas but real thupkas are made if it is ordered in advance. There are few shops where you get good liqour, momos, wai-wai etc. We were surprised to find one shop selling gol-gappas and chaat, it was wonderful. Places like Pelling, Ravangla and char dham are few hours away so it can be visited within a days time. Kaluk itself has some nice places to vist like water park, kanchendzonga falls etc.

Activities & things to do: Not much of activities other than local sightseeing .

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Avoid going in rainy season, even in summer keep an umbrella handy.
