Go if you have time from Mathura or Vrindavan

Govardhan Mountain was Lord Krishna's challenge to Lord Indra, the god of rains. Hindu's still go around the mountain for a approximately 22 kilometer walk, the Parikrama.

Milk is offered to Govardhan and though I agreed to do, I still don't believe that I poured milk down the drain.

Govardhan Hill parikrama

It is believed that Lord Krishna is worshipped by doing a parikrama around the 21km (saat Kos) long Govardhan Hill. The devotees consider it very sacred to do the parikrama on barefoot. We found many saints, people and yeah monkeys too on the path along the parikrama . . It took us to complete the parikrama in.
