HamirpurA is a town and the district headquarters and is located in a relatively colder region in western Himachal Pradesh with a lower altitude as compared to the other districts of the state. It has five Tehsil headquarters which named Hamirpur, Barsar, Nadaun, Bhoranj and Sujanpur. Baba Balak Nath Temple, Deotsidh, is the biggest holy shrine in Barsar tehsil of the district. Awah Devi Temple is on the border of Mandi district. Another famous temple of Sani Dev is in Lambloo. It is situated on the Deotsidh Dhar Range in Shivalik Hills.
