Reasons to go to Hyderabad

1The city of pearls
The city of pearls

HolidayIQ Reviewer Chavvy Naresh says, “Excellent architecture and well-kept fort. The science involved in the design of the Golconda  fort will take you on your toes. A guide is a must to understand the different aspects of what is inside the fort especially the acoustic properties.”

HolidayIQ Reviewer Dheeraj Kumar shares, “Divine, calm and cool place; A temple made of white marble. Maintained very well. Must visit at least for the view of the city. Divine, calm and cool atmosphere.”

HolidayIQ Reviewer anil Kumar adds, “ Ramoji Film City is one of the most attractive places in India. We are lucky to have this film city in our home state.”

2To climb up the challenging and spiraling staircase of the Charminar
To climb up the challenging and spiraling staircase of the Charminar

HolidayIQ Reviewer Sunil Kunnoth says, “Charminar - The famous landmark of Hyderabad The Charminar is the most famous landmark of Hyderabad. It is a heritage site but not maintained well. You will love it more from outside the building. Once you enter the monument by climbing the spiral staircase, you may lose your interest. The staircase is spiral, so steep and there are no supporting rails to help you reach the top. Besides, the area is almost dark and very narrow.

If you don't care well, there is a chance of falling down. Keep your mobile flashlight on while climbing up and down. It is sad to see that a great historic building is totally maintained in a pathetic condition. The tourists have already done great damage by writing their names and graffiti on the walls. Still, the city view from the top point is amazing. You can have a good view of the close by Mecca Masjid and a remote view of the Golconda Fort, which is 10 km away. I don't think it is a must watch monument worth your money and time.”

Let us have a tour of the Golkonda or Golconda or ancient name Shepherd's Hill, Quli Qutub Shah, who declared independence from The Bahmani Sultanate in 1518 and his dynasty arose. This forte built on 400feet high granite hill and remained to be the dynasty's capital till moved to Mohammed Nagar Later Hyderabad by 1590.”

Hyderabad was and remains to be one of the best places to visit and stay. Compared to other cities in India, Hyderabad is the best (at least in my opinion). The weather is great there although the summer time (April, May and June) is quite hot and dry. So far as food is concerned, varieties of tasty and affordable dishes are available. People (almost all) are cordial and helpful.

Hyderabad is the capital city of the state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh of South India. Located on the Deccan Plateau, Hyderabad is the fifth largest city of India. The 400-year-old city is located on the banks of the River Musi. Hyderabad was founded by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, the fifth sovereign of the Qutb Shahi dynasty, in the year 1591. The name Hyderabad literally means 'city of Hyder' since it was named after Queen Hyder Mahal, wife of King Qutab Shah. With the help of Iranian architects, Hyderabad was erected in a grid format. The city was modeled on the city of Isfahan of Iran. With the construction of Hyderabad city, it became the capital city of Qutb Shahi rulers.
