The eternal flame of Maa Jwala Devi mesmerized us.

We visited Kangra in the second week of June 2018. The weather was hot there. And all the temples were crowded but the museum and Kangra fort were peaceful places and worth seeing too. From the top of the fort the whole valley can be seen and the scenic beauty can be captured.

Kangra .. A great pilgrimage point of Himachal

I visited mantra during my trip to Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj . I hired car from Chandigarh in morning and reached Kangra in evening . After rest at night in hotel of himachal tourism we moved after breakfast to explore the place . First stoppage was van Ganga like Katra . We walked 1. 5km to reached the pond . But water was not clean . So we moved fr Kangra fort . Which is worth watching due to it's location and headphone guide which explore each bit of it. Finally we reached splendid temple of Kangra Devi . Which locals believe is their survivor God . Really a great temple with golden tigers guarding it and surrounding area is a market place fr souvenirs. Overall a Gus place to visit

Kangra Fort, awesome spot

While retiring from most of the people comeback to their homes without knowing about a very beautiful historical place in Kangra, The Kangra Fort . . Its among the very few built Forts in the Hills in 17th Century in India. Well maintained. Worth watching. Great place to take pics.

The Queen of Valleys, Kangra

Kangra known for his Valleys, Forts, Museums and Temples. It's around 15 Kilometers from Dharmshala and 18 Kilometers from McLeod Ganj which is famous for Tibetan Capital. Hindu visited here to pay homages to Mata Jwala Devi and Mata Brajeswari Devi Temple's which are famous and are within the 51 Shakti Peeth. Kangra Fort is also much popular and it's 1000 years old which soars on the high outcrop between Manjhi and Banganga rivers. The fort was occupied by Kings, Mughals, Sikh conqueror's and even British Administration since 1846 and finally toppled by the earthquake in 1905. Kangra Valley is also known for the residence of Pandava's. The early Royal family of Katochs was supposed to fight against the Padavas of Mahabharata. Maharaja Sansar Chand Museum and his peacock feather fans, Pasmina fly whisks and pretty Kangra school miniatures gives a fine insight into the lifestyle of the earstwhile Royal families.
