Good place to stay for a weekend

A must advice to go this resort for a weekend. The ambience is fantastic. Hospitality is something which is a way better than other resorts. Specially designed for both couples and family for peasant stay. Also works out well if you come with friends.

The experience was quite pleasant

Had driven from Mumbai on the weekend. Reached Khanvel in around 2. 5 hours from Borivali highway. Pleasant drive and good road for the stretch. Have to take a diversion at Tatkarli on the highway. Plenty of boards for direction.

Had stayed at Khanvel resort, nice, clean and spacious rooms. Little staff on the pocket at 4000/day even after discount but best place in the location. Food was a vegetarian buffet, the buffet served good Jain food too. Surrounding Golden pond hotel served a decent A la- carte. Leaving the two place dint find the other hotels comfortable for families.

The place has a beautiful "Butterfly garden" which was a real delight, with around 9 varieties of butterflies which I could spot, in good numbers too. Other than that there is a small pretty hindu temple around 3 KM drive and Dudhani a beautiful point around 20 km drive, which has boating too(8am -6pm).

Connecting Khanvel to Highway we pass a bridge over Daman Ganga river, on which there is a dam with water reservoir on one side. The hotels are located next to the river. Summing up was mainly a place leaving 3 spots and a lot of greenery. Mainly meant for a resort based vacation.

P. S. Prefer having dinner in the hotel if with family, as place shuts early. It is safe but is normally a drinking spot for people from Gujarat, Vapi city is 30km away.
