Best Time to Visit Nasik

The best time to visit Nasik is from October to December and then between February and March. Nasik experiences extreme summers and winters and a moderate monsoon season.

Nasik's hot summers last from March to May with the maximum temperature reaching over 42° C.

June to September is when the city receives decent amount of rainfall and the weather is more or less pleasant.

Things to Do During Summer

If one has an interest in history, visiting the 2000 year-old Pandavleni Caves is a must. These 24 caves are situated just 8 km from the city and were built by Jain kings. Another interesting historical region is the Sita Cave, located in the northern part of Nasik in Panchvati Village, which is believed to be one of the places where Lord Rama lived during his exile.

Things to Do During Winter

Tourists can enjoy swimming, boating and fishing in the city or simply plan a picnic with friends or family to one of its popular picnic spots. A traveller can also spend some quality time exploring orchards and vineyards. Also, do not forget to taste the region's wine. Touring the 1500 acre-long vineyards of Sula Wines is a must for wine connoisseurs. Another vineyard that should be explored is Chateau Indage.
