School of art

A area covering the UNESCO world heritage site, will just give you goose bumps when you enter into the complex. Beautifully carved and more over should appreciate the maintenance of such history.
How to reach?
From Badami get on any bus that goes through Statical. I forgot the price, but it was quite cheaper; less than 50 bucks.
The bus won't drop you right outside the gates, you need to walk for 5mins, but you'll be able to see the complex from the drop point. So nothing to worry.

Pattadakallu

Its in Bagalkote district Karnataka state. Visual treat to your eyes. World heritage centre. Well maintained surrounding.
Good for people interested in History, archeology, art and photography.
We visited in the evening around 4pm. Its ideal to visit in the evening rather in the hot sun.
Eatables are available in the vicinity.
Other tourist places like Badami, Ihole, and koodala sangam is nearby.
Washrooms and drinking water facility is available.
Paid entry.
Photography allowed.
Information is centre is available.
Nice place to relax in the evening.
Better to avoid during day time as this place is too sunny and hot even in December.

Pattadakallu - temples

Nine out of the ten temples listed in Pattadakallu are housed in a well maintained area, with an entry fee. A small office there lists pictorial details about each of the temples, their individual architectural styles.
Beautiful sculpted temples just take you back in time to a beautiful era. One of the nine temples having a huge Basava idol and Shiva are functional.

Heritage city

If one visits Badami, one should not miss Aihole and Pattadakal. Chalukyas have built many temples in these places. These are rock cut as in Mahabalipuram. Pattadakal is about 20kms from Badami and 20km from Aihole. It is included in world heritage sites of UNESCO . . The site is well preserved and maintained. Virupaksha temple is the largest in this complex. You may require 2-3 hrs to enjoy the beauty of the monuments in this complex standing as a testimony of Chalukyas' and Pallavas' styles in rock temple creation.

Nice place

If you are in Karnataka, Hampi is the very well known location to visit, but this Pattadakal place is as beautiful as Hampi . . You can see very beautiful rock structures, remains of temples. Although the structure is ruined but whatever we get to see is mesmerizing . Early morning visit will save you from the seat of sun during the day. A mist visit to add in your itinerary.

An historical place

Pattadackal is a plce located in north Karnataka in Bagalkot district . It is famous for a group of monuments declared as world heritage munument by the UNESCO . It has a group of temples mainly and each one has a different story to say . Make sure you hire a guide or use audiocompasguide application. Badami and Aihole are located nearby and are easily accessible from here. Will be better if you can avoid bright sunlight and reach there early in the morning . It is a treat to your eyes if you are into monuments and history and heritage .

A place with finest art

Pattadakal is a place nearby Badami. It is a place known for the remains of various temples. Visitors must visit the museum in Pattadakal so as to understand how the temples are rebuild. The temples are made with big stones. There are big and deep tanks for storing water. I like the fine art of the temples .
