Places In Northeast India Where Winters Are Simply Magical!

HolidayIQ Traveller Arjun Paul says, "Ravangla is easily accessible from NJP station, Bagdogra airport or from Gangtok by car. Ravangla is for peace seekers, Natural beauty connoisseurs and photographers paradise. It can be brilliant destination for honeymoon and birdwatchers also. It has perfect views of Mt. Kanchenjunga and many other mountain peaks. Ravangla has recently come under Sikkim tourism department scanner and efforts to make it a tourist hotspot is easily appreciated, one such example is Buddha park. Other significant places to see in Ravangla are Temi Tea Garden, Ralang Monastery, Borong Hotsprings and its the starting point for many trek routes as well. The place still feels like virgin lands and the hotels and their staff here are still not that commercialised, and as a result, they are very warm, homely and accommodating people."

A place for peace

Actually I stayed in a place called Borong which is 14 km from Ravongla. The wild flower retreat was there. The resort is really good, the ambience, the service and overall the people. The main attraction of Ravongla is the Buddha Park. Its a huge area with a huge Buddha statue. You can see it from my pictures. The weather was reasonably cool. Its roaming around 5-6°C. But I would suggest if anyone is visiting this place, please stay at Borong. You can visit the Ralong Monastery on the way. In this place you don't have much to see except nature.
