God vishnu temple

Sacred darshan of Lord vishnu. Feel free to visit because of peace and religious environment. Free food available here which is prepared by temple administration. It is on the top of hills. Throughout every year only one day Lord Vishnu is opened and it is without haldi and chandan paste

A holy place- Simhachalam

This place is a good one in Visakhapatnam for visitors. Lord Nursing temple is really a great one to worship. The scenery around the temple is beautiful. Everyone should visit this with family at least once. The prasadam loodu (sweet) is really special one. Visit and enjoy.

Tranquility Personified @ Simhachalam

Simhachalam is one of the main vaishnavite attractions for the devout. Its nestled in the hills near Visakhapatnam. It would take about 30min-45min to reach this place from Vizag.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Sight Seeing: the only and the best darshan one can have is that of presiding deity : Lord Varaha Narasimha atop the hills.

Shopping: nothing much in particular at Vizag or at Simhachalam

Food: you get cost effective andhra veg delicacies at Vizag. There are only few restaurants at Simhachalam. Right at the bottom of the hills, devasthanams have its own canteen or other near by Veg restaurants: but everything opens at about 9am or so....

Activities & things to do: - Take Rs.100 ticket for darshan cum archana: which is the best bet to avoid the crowds or if not the crowds are not, one can perform the archana within the precincts of Temple in sanctum santorum
- Have a peaceful serene darshan of Lord: which in itself is a really blissful experience given the natural surroundings and well maintained ( cleanliness, tidiness and vedic chants)
- Have early morning darshan( which starts at 7am) and then proceed to Vizag for breakfast: at Venkatadri Vantillu, on VIP Road, along CBM compound: heavenly food where you get andhra veg delicacies at its best

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: - Try Venkatadri Vantillu for cost effective food in general
- Try Tulip restaurant at Green Park for really excellent veg thali for lunch or dinner
- Visit Kali temple, RK Beach; reach Bhimli for really ancient and quaint Lord Shiva temple called Bheemeswara temple
- Try Araku Valley if you have another a day or two from Viza
