Pleasant place

Tirupati Balaji temple and near by temples are very pleasant places. We can stay for many days. All places are very good and excellent service. I am recommending to all visitors to see this places. But book in advance.

I have been going to Tirupati for the last 50/60 years and for the first time I could see it very clean neat and very divine . . Food and Shopping: Good. Lepakshi is good but similar materials are available outside at very competitive price. Highlight of the trip: Darshan of Lord Venkateshwar

History of Tirupati

Tucked away in the state of Andhra Pradesh, Tirupati is an important pilgrimage centre for the Hindus. Tirupati lies on the foothills of Tirumala and attracts pilgrims all year round because of the Tirupati Temple that is situated on the hills of Tirumala.

It is believed that Lord Rama along with Lakshman and Sita stayed on upper Tirupati (Tirumala) on their return from Lanka.

People and Culture of Tirupati

Every day, Tirupati is swarming with pilgrims from all over the country. Hinduism is the main religion that is followed by the people of Tirupati. Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and English are the main languages that are spoken in this region.

Located in Tiruchanoor, about 5 km from Tirumala hill, this temple is dedicated to Goddess Padmavathi.
