SpiceJet Cancellation

A flight operated by SpiceJet might be cancelled because of reasons which are not in the airline's control such as inclement weather. In such a case, a flight might be cancelled, flight timing revised or an alternate flight may be arranged. SpiceJet will attempt to inform customers about any kind of change on the contact detail provided while booking flight at least three hours before the scheduled departure of plane.

In case a customer is not informed by SpiceJet regarding a change in flight schedule at least three hours before its published departure time, the airline has a policy that states customers will be compensated if price of ticket is higher than the amount of compensation.

In case a flight is delayed, a customer will be returned

  • Rs.2000 or the price of ticket whichever is less if a flight has a block time of up to 1 hour.
  • Rs.3000 or the price of ticket whichever is less if a flight has a block time of more than 1 hour but less than 2 hours.
  • Rs.4000 or the price of ticket whichever is less if a flight has a block time of more than 2 hours.

In case a customer chooses to take an alternate flight arranged by SpiceJet to his/her destination, the airline will provide refreshments or meals based on the waiting time.

If a reservation is cancelled and a customer does not wish to travel by an alternate flight or alternate travel mode arranged by the airline, SpiceJet will refund the ticket amount to the passenger.
