Nagzira Wildlife Sanctuary
1 Nagzira Wildlife Sanctuary
After completing Pench Tiger Reserve we began our journey to Nagzira wild life sanctuary it was further 100 km from Pench. Very confusing roads we could feel we are getting into something more thrilling by seeing the locations around as the jungle area was getting more dense, lonely and scary. Finally by evening we made it to the Jungle Nature Camp, Nagzira. Camp site was just heavenly beautiful. Last 1km to the camp was all kacha roads. There we saw a huge never ending lake which was getting lost somewhere far away at the mountains in the backdrop. It was just heaven. Camp was very beautiful build tents on on side and open eating place on another; towards the last of the camp was a bonfire place. Camp was in middle of nowhere you could just see dense forest till the horizon. It was actually very scary at the night time when jungle gets really quite and you hear only unusual sounds. Next day early morning was very similar to Pench, only difference was the gates were near to our camp that made me realized we were actually living in dense forest area. Nagzira forest was very different from Pench, Nagzira was more dense lush green and hilly. If there would have been an animal around would have easily hidden due to greenery around. We saw similar animals here as well mostly filled with deer and monkeys. Yet again we missed the tiger. The best part was we saw a tiger kill which had happened couple of hours back as per the jeep driver it was a dead stag. If you ask me to compare Nagzira and Pench; my vote will certainly go to Nagzira. It was just super thrilling. A must visit destination.
