Around 14Km drive from Joshimath on a narrow road we reached Mandala Vikas Nigam) Resort. AULI, we parked our vehicle in parking of and please remember to take a authorized receipt of parking, from there we rent a chair car and reached Clifftop Club its amazing experience to be on chair car The appearance of resort was not very good as shown on website, but at that height and lack of roads, they are giving very good services. The rooms are good with slow room service. You never get frequent running hot water, so if you are going to Bath then please inform at least 45 min before as they provide hot water in buckets please remember to take winter cloths even if you are going in May as nights are really cold. Most of the rooms are mountain facing with awesome view, you can also choose room with a view of NANDA Devi (2nd highest peak of India) with a great view of great mountain. Auli is very beautiful and most quiet place, so if you want to relax with very less Mobile network coverage suggest to be there once in a lifetime.
This wooden hotel will give you the feeling of being at a place which is 3000 feet above sea level. Nice view with big rooms, windows and big bathroom too. The food was average with limited variety To reach here there is cable car ride of 4 km which is called Gondola. Charges are Rs. 100 to 150 for both sides. This is something amazing and you get breathtaking view while riding. Tibet border is visible and you can hear the activities too. It is surrounded by forest and the beautiful Gurso/grasses makes it more appealing Entertainment options are also available in the hotel like Badminton court, sports room, etc. You get much more options and services in winters. This place and hotel is much more beautiful in winters Mountains all around and dense forest, view of cable car and clouds dancing in the sky. Nature all around and this Clifftop at the top.
Clifftop Club situated on the best location at 1000 ft has the most awesome views of the snow capped Himalayan mountain range. The views are mesmerizing and unforgettable The hotel is made of wood as the place is submerged in heavy snow during winter. This hotel is actually meant for winter sports, but is best for families during summer. We stayed in July and the views were of blue hued mountains with white snow tops The only restaurant makes food that's fairly tasty and made to order. The staff is very helpful too. Overall, it was one of our best holidays ever.
Cliff top club resort is right in the midst of himalayas with panoramic views of snow clad peaks especially the nandadevi. We had a very good stay in the club from 27th may to 3rd of June. We had gone for trekking all around the hill tops and it was really worth taking the effort. Its proximity to badrinath made it a bit spiritual also. The winding road towards badrinath is really a dream come true with all the himalayan glaciers within your reach. Of course we had to face few minor discomforts at the club like lack of hot water during day evening (availability was only for 2 hrs in the morning from 7am to 9am)when the temperature was varying around 6-10 degrees. But then everything was compensated by the serenity of nature.
Best Experience: ALL THE STAFF AT THE CLIFF TOP CLUB WERE REALLY GOOD.THEY HAVE TRIED THEIR BEST TO GIVE US ALL THE COMFORTS WE COULD EXPECT OF ON SUCH A MOUNTAIN TOP. THE STAY AT CLIFF TOP REALLY MADE US FEEL THAT WE ARE ON TOP OF THE WORLD !!
Worst Experience: THE APPROACH ROAD TO THE CLUB AND THE LACK OF HOT WATER !!
It was in January we went to Auli and as it was a family trip we wanted anything but the best. So we booked clifftop club at Auli. It was a disaster. The hotel room if you want to pay only for the Nandadevi view than I think you can book in the instead of spending money in this place because even they share the same view. They have mentioned that they have heaters in every room. Yes they do have but the ones that the small tiny shops would have and service is so bad that they are just not bothered what the customer needs. You are hungry so that's your problem. Their simple rule is we cook when we want, not as per your needs. I was there for two days and both the days my kids slept without dinner Firstly, the housekeeping is lazy in cleaning your room and incase you are lucky and they come than they expect a good tip from you. It was the worst experience.
