I just want to say that, SK Regency is quite good. Based on our experience I would like to mention few points, which might be helpful to improve some minor areas in the hotel In reception, there is only one boy who looks after everything. We stayed for 3 nights there. Whenever we required something, he was not available at that time. Either we should wait for him or we should call continuously. That boy might be doing his job good, we can't blame him because he's doing everything alone. Sometimes we think why we should tell that boy even he can't do everything alone. On 4th day morning, another boy was present even his busy with his work. Advise to SK management is that, they have to improve first in reception. Every time one person should be available. Reception means (Help desk) they should respond everybody or any time to customers. Reception doesn't mean that once the amount is paid by the guests, they provided the room to them and their duty is over. Service person should check with customers if they are comfortable or not, or looking for any requirement I am suggesting to change the room freshener as it is very bad or might be strong. We couldn't bear that smell when we enter that hotel. Even inside the room also same smell. Room freshener should be mild or any flower fragrance should be nice. The freshener smell should attract the tourists when they enter the hotel Coming to the rooms, it is big, but TV is very small. They should keep the TV as per room size. Remote not working properly, we struggled a lot with remote Bathroom mat, they should change it every day because it will be wet after usage. We went out one day morning time and return back to room in the evening, when we open the door it was of full bad smell because of wet mat Chikmagalur climate is very chill, we need 24 hr hot water, but in our room there was geyser problem. Geyser is very big, there was some socket problem when we on the geyser we got electric shock, some wire also burned and it was smelling. We told to service boy about the same, but he said that he will check. It is very dangerous to keep such water geyser. Water also was not getting heated quickly, so we need to wait for more than a hour Inside the room mosquito problem also was there, at least they should keep some mosquito repellents in the room If we look outside the door, they are not cleaning or changing the dustbin also. After 2 days they cleaned the dustbin Near that reception, drinking water can was empty. They should fill the water can regularly. The water can was kept in the corner, that too below the steps. It was difficult to fill the water in bottles, they should keep in front of the reception so that it will be easy to drink or fill the water for drinking purpose Whatever I wrote was based on our experience. Before 2 years back we visited tourist place like Ooty, Coorg, the hotels were good compared to hotels in Chikmagalur place I am suggesting that - kindly improve all these small things so that, it is good for tourists to visit the same hotel in future as well. Before providing any room to visitors, kindly check everything, mainly bathroom carpet, water geyser, mosquito repellent and outside the dustbin.

The hotel looks good from the outside but not so much in the inside. The rooms are not very good for the price they charge and room service is completely non-existent. The behavior of the staff was also not good at all.

Also, it is quite far away from the bus stop and you will have to catch an auto (which is not very commonly available) to go there (all vehicles start from there and all the shops are also located there, so you will need to go there frequently).

What made me absolutely angry was they disregarded our online booking which we did for 2 days and told us that it has been booked for a marriage party and could not accommodate us for more than 1 day. WTF!!

We reached the hotel a little early (10 AM) and we had to wait at the lobby till 12 and shorten our plan for that day.

The room service was PATHETIC. Most of the times there would be nobody to receive your call and we had to ask more than a few times just to get some water! Every time they would just say "yes sir we will send it right away" but just forget/ignore after that. What kind of a hotel makes you call/walk to the reception 5 times just to get a bottle of drinking water??

The breakfast was ok but the attached restaurant was awful. The food was not good at all.

Don't stay at this hotel - that is what I would recommend. Book some other hotel near the bus stop and that will be much better if you plan to stay for more than 1-2 days.

Best Experience: Nothing great to recommend about this hotel.

I would recommend everyone planning to visit Chikmagalur to stay in SK Regency. It's located well inside city and the kind of service they provide is extraordinary. They in fact took care of everything, right from food to transport! Everything. The manager is too humble. I want to thank SK Regency team for making our stay a memorable one. Thank you!

The rooms and the service are really good. We had a really good time there. Its quite easy to find and the place is easy for nearby shopping nor any restaurants. The staff is good and I recommend this hotel to all my family and friends. Had a good variety on the menu. Overall enjoyed the stay.

This is my second visit at SK Regency, My first and second visit also awesome experience because, when we entered that hotel, we felt good & warmth of hospitality. We have felt like staying at a close relative's house because of Mr. Ali hospitality. He helped lot of things and he have arranged the good travels (open jeep)for us to visit the all places of Chikmagalur and guided as well. He have arranged the Fire camp party at night. He take care of every moment on those days, we have enjoyed well very happy without scare. We have felt the excellent comfortable stay with less money and nothing can match for that. Those adventure trips are unforgettable in my life. I have really suggest for Being frequent travelers for yours adventures trips best you can choose this hotel. We will looking forward for our next stay at SK Regency. I will give my rating for this excellent hotel stay and trip enjoyment is 10 out of 10.
