The place at Coorg was booked based on a Report by Times of India. The place is quiet interior, and the access road is Terrible to tell the least, for the last 1-km. Mobile signals are poor . . The rooms (there are only 5-6 tiled roof type rooms, too old, within an Estate), are very ordinary without much facilities, and are Rodents infested !! If you have females in the group, be ready to get bombarded for choosing the place! Only saving grace, and best part of the stay, was the two Male care takers, who would respond to all your questions, queries and requests promptly, within their limitations. They also served as part time Cooks, as the female cook was on leave for few days. There must be much better places to choose from in Coorg, considering the steep rates charged- Rs. 3000 for a couple with primitive food (though not too bad), even on weekdays. Definitely NOT worth !!
One of the most beautiful properties in India. Atop a hill covered on all sides by lush coffee plantations. Feels like heaven. Rooms, food and amenities are top notch and a class above. And the price is pretty reasonable as well. The infinity swimming pool was a touch of class and the service was extraordinary. The staff were extremely courteous and professional and catered to our every needs. It is very well maintained as well and is very Eco friendly. Add to that the various activities they have in store and you've got your hands on a winner. The view is the main USP and rightfully so. It is just mind boggling. It feels unearthly and just surreal. I would definitely come back here again. Though it's still a new property it already has a lot of good reputation and considering the fact that they are still expanding I would love to see how much they have improved the perfect system. Everyone there were cheerful and met us with a smile. The food was so tasty and delicious that I couldn't stop myself from eating. Kudos to the chef's of Coorg Cliffs resort.
My wife and I stayed briefly at Coorg Cliff in November 2015. A fairly new resort with friendly staff and a pleasing ambience (ignoring of-course the 'tree-like that you'll find to be the resort's welcome arch). Overall, a pleasant place to chill out and oh, sometimes, the restaurant converts itself into a soup kitchen at dinner time (with local folks swarming about). Well, it at-least did when I was around.
