I am so happy I chose this guest house. The appearance looks so average but since the options were in that place and the price were affordable I took a chance and booked this guest house for our 5 family members. The guest house was so clean, unimaginably clean. The appreance looks so average from outside that my expectation was very low but my experience was awesome. I booked this very skeptically as the appearance in not appealing. Since we had to stay very near to the forest so that we could early morning drive we chose this for a day stay for 5 family members. Average spacious rooms but the whole guest house, rooms, kitchen, dining area and bathrooms were very clean which was above my expectation. It is difficult for 3 members to adjust in 1 double, for 2 members it is okay. Service was awesome, they themselves followed up to prepare for cooking in advance before we reached to check the order. Since there are no good eating options nearby we need to order in the guest house kitchen. Food was tasty, clean served hot and on time. Hot water was available in bathroom 24 hours, since we visited in June we badly needed hot water all the time. The location of the guest house is right in the Srimangala main road nearby to few of our all time favorite destinations such as Nagarahole forest and kutta. Its in a very calm location in fact the whole of south Coorg is like that :=) Guest house is surrounded by few houses and a hospital right opposite to it, we felt very safe. The cottages are a little far from the guest house but it is in good walkable distance, we just took a walk to see the cottages from outside and it was in heavenly location. Cleanliness - 5/5. Location - 5/5. Service - 5/5. Food - 5/5. Value for many - 4/5. I would love to stay in this place again if I get to travel nearby and recommend to others as well. Tip : Make sure to order food very much in advance as they might even need to buy groceries after you order. There are no places to eat nearby. Since we visited on weekdays and there were no other guests it was little scary as we were the only ones in the whole house. There is nothing wrong or nothin to feel unsafe about, it was just my feeling, but since it was a new place we were little worried. If you are not very bold to stay alone, think twice.
This retreat has not been primarily designed for tourism. Its an organic farm run by a couple who have added 4 rooms to let people come and see what they do and enjoy the place. They have 2 kinds of and Deluxe cottages. The Deluxe are by far more comfortable of the two but the plantation cottages are perfectly located within the rainforest property. You have to walk through the plantation to get to the cottage and its adventurous at night. Its fun if you like adventure. If you are travelling with kids, the Deluxe Cottage is better. Don't look for activities, you are close to no town, your cell phone won't work, enjoy long walks and fabulous views. The food is simple and incredibly tasty. They bake their own bread, and the butter the cheese is all homemade so enjoy your breakfast! The staff are courteous and smile a lot. Ask them to guide you for some walks. Be warned- they over estimate your level of fitness and suddenly start walking uphill to show you some lovely views but if you're not a habitual walker, it can be too much.
Best Experience: The best experience is the plantation walk that the hosts Sujata and Anurag Goel take you on. (If you get some time with their six year old daughter Maya, its a treat you won\'t believe). The plantation walk is optional so make sure you ask. Their organic farm is much more than an agricultural project- its a way of life and a way of thinking. It will change the way you think about many things. You will be served most of your meals along with other visitors unless you specially mention the need for privacy. So except breakfast, other meals are eaten outside the Deluxe Cottage.
Worst Experience: There are leeches in a rainforest - and they look more disgusting than they feel. So be prepared and carry salt to remove them. Take a torch.
Hospitality stands out. Extraordinary. The experience like this creates life long memories. Thank why
We went for a relaxed holiday, with a friends reference, although we reached late with our little child at around 11. 00 pm the owners were awake and waiting for us on the road to guide us to the place, I have to say this we had not informed the owners about our dinner plans, but still they served us the dinner which they had prepared for them it was so yummy and was a treat for us and they refused to take money for the food they served, I can't forget this I would say they are not commercial at all ,. Our Plan was to stay for two days, but the owners children s were so lovely our child also became close with them we had to extend it for one day, even for this they refused to accept money, it is what we call humanity, owners are very nice couples, it was a real homely feeling, very comfortable, very caring, even though we had planned our trip. I took the tip of the owners which was really use full for us . Regarding the amenities it is a clean, neat and well maintained place located on the outskirts of Madikeri town, that is what most expected from us, I can't describe the owners in words they are so nice and kind I would say may be this is the first time I lived in a place that made me feel really like home thank you Dinesh and Bhavya, and the little ones khashvi and lakshya the( names of babies hope I have spelled correctly) . I would strongly recommend family folks to visit this place for a warm and pleasant. Stay. Would love to visit again. Thanks
The resort was good. The best thing we liked was the plantation done which added to the beauty. Service was good by the guys and rooms were neat and clean as well. Will definitely visit again. Then the best part was the evening bonfire, the lights, the music and the best thing the snacks which were served. The chef was also good. Everything demanded was provided instantly and with grace. The guys there as well provided play grounds as volleyball, football ground, rifle shooting. If any one likes to stay in tent, then going to this resort is the best thing. They have one of the tent at an height of at least 15 feet inside trees. It was my first trip to Coorg and I loved it with my group.
This was a family holiday and out from the busy city life to a lush green village setting, this is the place to be for a relaxing holiday . The thatched roof was perfect village setting ensuring the peaceful bliss and a fun-tastic experience and the ambience was awesome, air so pure you could feel the coolness in the air . The front lawn gave a hill view feel which the children just let themselves on to and rolled and jumped with joy . Food was buffet and lavish, never was a dish repeated during our stay, comfortable accommodation and a spectacular view from dawn to dusk, cool and clear skies during the day and stars could be seen at night . Swimming pool so clean and well maintained with a horizon view ensured the children would not want to move out, being at the top most point of the hotel sky is the limit . The staff's efficient service would take care of all your needs and would make you feel so comfortable that am sure we would want to visit this place again and again . Personalized touch and a warm hospitality is what we achieved and be it Business or Pleasure Heritage Home, Coorg is the place to be . .
