This is live review.........i am sitting on window side sofa in room no 606 ,the full size glass window is the best asset in this well decorated executive room, offers best possible view of guwahati-the busy paltan bazar, one temple of chaiytannya dev,the dome of Kamakhya temple on hill top and some portion of a stadium. This hotel is situated in the heart of the city, walking distance from bus stand,1/2 km from railway station 21 km from airport and 5 km from kamakhya temple. The overall atmosphere in this hotel is very nice.......specially,i liked the interior of the restaurant,Banzara.Room service is great, they change toilet /bathing kits everyday and last but not the least, the locker within the room is immensely helpful.
Best Experience: Yesterday i was very late to return in hotel after hectic schedule throughout the day. When i returned at almost mid night ,i thought i have to fast tonight. But the front desk staff after handing over the key, said ,sorry sir, restaurant is closed ,so i shall serve the complimentary dinner in your room. And i enjoyed one of best dinners in my life.
Worst Experience: nothing as such......but the restaurant is vegetarian.......i loved the breakfast items, specially the luchi,paneer-motor.......loved the coffee shop.....but 3 days continuous veg diet is somewhat painful for me and i did not like the way they cooked veg curry.
I was there in Guwahati on 3rd and 4th for business tour. Hotel dynasty is excellent hotel with very good rooms and services. Food is very good whatever they cook is ultimate. Room services are excellent even 4 am I got tea at room. Bathroom is too good with high class fittings and all luxury. Location is superb as it is in marketplace, step out of hotel you will get everything. The only issue I find is old convention lock at doors which they should replace.
Dynasty hotel is really a awesome hotel situation at a walking distance of 5 min from bank of river Brahmaputra and an approx 15 min of walking distance from Guwahati Railway station. Here, you will get delicious food that makes your mood up. Apart from that, the kind behavior of its staff are awesome. No matter whether you have arrived here for your office meet or for having Kamakhya Darshan. This hotel really makes your journey awesome. Beside that, the well maintained rooms and its bed are really eye catchy. So, friends if you have decided to visit Guwahati then, select your resort point at Dynasty hotel. I am saying all these on behalf of my experience that I had while my last visit.
The exterior of the hotel was not so good, but the interior was nice. I had booked a deluxe room. All the basic amenities like TV, AC and geyser was provided in the room and all were working fine. The housekeeping staff were daily cleaned the room. There was no view available from the room. The housekeeping service was good. Hot and cold water facility was also provided. The food quality was good and the price of the food was not so expensive. They provided both veg and non veg food. I was not aware about extra activities conducted by the hotel. I ask for transportation facility. They gad very good parking area. There was no delay during check in and checkout process. The hotel was a little far from the city. The receptionist staff were also nice. My suggestion is they should improve the washroom and the service. I was satisfied with the hotel.
Hi readers. My family decided to visit my Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati and after that make a short trip to Shillong from Guwahati. This hotel gave me a reservation on phone when I called from Kolkata without too much fuss. True to their word the room was all ready and smartly elegant with lots of moving space. The mini bar was intelligently stacked with soft drinks and snacks like cashews and almonds. The bathroom was also comfortable keeping in mind Indian aesthetics and not too much western. The centrally air conditioning and the exhaust systems kept the room and bathroom always fresh. We liked the Indian food especially the yellow Dale and nan and the rice. But chicken and fish preparations were so and not much to speak off. The complimentary breakfast offered fresh breads, fruits, juice, idli, dosa and assorted baked vegetables. The front desk personnel were courteous and helpful. They helped me in getting a hotel booking at Shillong and a vehicle for the journey. All considered its worth the tariff for a stay at Hotel Gateway Grandeur.
