Been to Jamnagar from 7/4/16 to 10/4/16 on business trip and choose Hotel Fortune Palace to stay because of it's location. It is close to Airport and near to the highway. A typical business hotel, where 90% of the travelers are visiting business people or technicians attending to the 3 major industries. Clean and maintained hotel with friendly staff. No major discounts offered due high booking demand Surprisingly, a liquor shop in the cellar of the hotel is open from 12 PM to 7. 30 PM - outsiders are eligible to purchase by producing Aadhar card or Passport along with travel document like train ticket or boarding pass - so remember not to throw away the travel documents. But the prices are very expensive and choice of picking up the quantity is by the shop keeper Jamnagar economy is depended on 4 major industries apart from the huge Govt establishment. Jamnagar has got only one Air India flight in the afternoon from Mumbai, if people are looking for multiple flights one has to travel 110 km to the nearest Airport. Roads are quite good and not so heavy traffic congestion. Hotel offers travel desk facility.
We stayed at Jamnagar for a night last weekend as we were visiting nearby town Khambaliya for religious trip. Since only one night we were not fussy about the accommodation, all we needed was safety and a warm shower, as it was really cold. Like 20 in the early evening So we were blindly following our driver who advised us where to stay and where to eat. Came across this hotel Punit which is decent value for money. Extremely plain rooms and hardish beds but this is Jamnagar and we don't know what the other hotels here might be like, so stayed here considering its only one night Its a neat and clean joint a few kms 3-4 from the main restaurants which are in and around digjam circle. This was good for us as we would have our dinner and walk back enjoying the cold weather.
Overall experience was good, rooms are good and spacious and justify tariff. Food was good with good quantity hard to finish. Complimentary breakfast has limited choice.
Best Experience: Preferred Hotel Fortune since it is near to airport. Complimentary unlimited wi-fi was also one of the reason to stay. Since stay was long and best experience was to get homely food with the help of courteous staff.
The hotel is located near busy roads. The hotel provided all the facilities. The rooms were very good. Rooms are Welland and comfortable. All the staff members were cooperative. Hotel served non veg and veg too. The chicken Tikka masala dish was very delicious. In short, well recommended hotel.
