I have come with my girlfriend and with a group of friends 3 times, already ,, everything is excellent ,. Nice and homely ,, the staff is totally opposite of any 5 star hotel ,, doesn't disturb you at all ,, don't come and unneccasary knock on the door, or ask you useless questions. The view is fantastic from sea view rooms and the infinity pool is to die for The food was par excellence ,, home cooked ,, without any food additives or colour, or soda ,,, felt so good having fresh grilled fish ,, prawns ,, crab ,,, oh this is a sea food place There is no TV & intercom ,, totally chilled out place ,, definatley not for people who come to sit in the room to watch tv and surf the internet ,,, please avoid this Eco friendly place and go to some regular hotel .,. Breakfast was so good ,, fresh cooked in the morning ,, oh I just loved it ., eggs to order ,, or Kerala breakfast of the day ,,, real french press coffee ,,, oh it is quite the opposite of the big buffet one sees in big 5 star hotels ,,. Overall it is just superb for nature lovers and people who like off beat places to come and relax and chill !!! Without being disturbed by hotel staff or phone or tv. Super fast WiFi, through fiber optic ,, really amazing in this remote location on cherai beach. There is an eclectic mix of guest ,, yoga lovers ,, foreigners ,,, Indians ,,, with so much open space and common areas So much privacy to wear a bikini, hard to find such privacy on cherai beach, really a bonus an plus point too. Plus if you love massage ,, and yoga ,, this is the place to come ,, very interesting yoga deck and massage room so traditional ,, very relaxing and unwinding indeed !!. Cheers and a must come for nature lovers ,,, the arabian sea is so close ,, you can taste the salt !!. Tony fernandes ,. Mumbai
I stayed in this hotel with my wife during a short trip to Vaikom. I had driven a car for 10-11 hours and wanted a nice place to relax and this resort came as an elixir. As the location was a bit unusual, we were asked to wait near the gate with car. Then one boat came and the security guard helped us park a car. From that location, we boarded the boat with luggage and reached this marvelous resort in the middle of lake. The boat ride was provided free of cost to all the guests free-of-cost Once we reached there, we were welcomed with a refreshing welcome drink. Then we were guided to the room. The rooms were small and connecting. They had wooden interiors with ancient touch. The overall, room appearance was similar to houseboat. As there is mosquito trouble, mosquito net was attached over the bed. The bathroom was also small but sufficed our needs. Complimentary breakfast was delicious. However, dinner was expensive and there was no other choice as we were in the middle of lake. Overall, it was a good experience for a short trip Advice : Carry mosquito repellent.
Behaviour of the staff members was cooperative but cost wise, the hotel was bit costly according to location. Location of the hotel was nice but it was situated near about 5-7 km far from the bus stand. I did not face any difficulty to find this hotel. Check-in and check-out facility was not delayed. Services were prompt. Outer and inner look of the hotel was up to the mark. Room was spacious, neat, tidy and well maintained but I do not remember about amenities. Staff of the hotel was cleaning the room after one day. Washroom was neat and clean. Food facility was available there and it was okay-okay only because there were limited varieties available in veg. Veg and non-veg varieties were available there. Buffet system was not there and they served complimentary breakfast. Cost wise, the food was bit costly. Activities were not available there and they did not organize any sightseeing trip for us. This is a recommendable hotel for others travellers. It was a relaxation trip with my family.
Over the Christmas weekend, we decided to have a relaxed vacation with a school friend's family. This was also a reunion after twenty years. We loved the resort since its location is absolutely fabulous. The kids were excited to go through a jungle and then ride a boat to get to the island where the resort is. They have around five cottages only which is a great thing. Less people and good hospitality makes this an amazing place to unwind, connect with your loved ones amongst nature. The Periyar river flows gently. You can spend your time playing in water all day. You can see and hear it flow from your room too. The staff helped the kids do some fishing and also raft rides and a hike. The chef prepared delectable spread for each meal. Overall, the manager Rijo and staff were just wonderful. I recommend this resort if you are planning a Kerala holiday.
Everything was okay there in this hotel. The hotel was economical. My trip was under package it was about 25K or something. The location of the hotel was perfect. It was not within the city, but there is a connecting road. We can easily travel and nothing to worry. Surrounding of the hotel was beautiful. They had their own private beaches. There was no market or any places near to the hotel. Staff was professional and they are quick enough to attend my all request. Interior and exterior of the hotel was very good. Rooms were well maintained and spacious. Housekeeping and room services were also up to the mark. AC, TV, geyser, refrigerator ere available in working condition. There was a beach view visible from balcony of the room. I am fully satisfied with the room allotted to me. Food quality was very good. Kerala and South Indian food was also available and some intercontinental dishes were also there but we did not try. Chicken was very tasty there. Swimming pool was there. I am not sure about other activities. I went there in December last year with couple. Sightseeing trip was not arranged by the hotel. Value of money paid. I did not observe so much in terms of what could be improved. This is the best hotel I stayed in other hotels there. Cochin is an excellent tourist place. It is a peaceful holiday.
