I along with my friends visited Kodaikanal during September 2015 and we stayed at Richwin Hotel, located very close to the Bus station and Coacker's walk. Briyant park is also nearby. Thus my rating for location is excellent. Hotel is neatly maintained. Rooms were spacious enough. (We booked Standard room). The tariff was quite reasonable. I booked my room through Stayzilla with whom we had a fantastic deal (discount offered is Rs. 2000) and their service was also excellent. Hotel staff were very nice to behave and courteous while the staff at canteen are very hospitable and they serve us tasty and homely food (morning and night) The panoramic view from the top of the hotel (where the hotel houses canteen) is really spellbound and breathtaking. As regards safety point of view, I could find visitors with their family staying in the hotel and also from my opinion. It is a good place to stay with the family.
It's our second time that we visited Kodaikanal and the purpose of the visit is to explore the exotic, cool and misty weather of Kodaikanal, feel the moment with the charming hill and to live with nature I feel one should definitely take a leave from their hectic work and live in mesmerizing surrounding of Kodaikanal. If you want to enhance your experience, there is a need of wonderful stay and Richwin Hotel has not failed to do that. Richwin hotel comprises of all modern amenities which is generally needed for comfortable stay One of the biggest advantage is its location. Coakers Walk and Bryant Park are just adjacent to Richwin Hotel! Their support staff are quite courteous, helpful and available anytime as per your need. As per catering is concerned, one should give a try to their food (mainly their soft idlis), you can get it easily in their roof top hotel or in a room, on demand. We tried food outside too but we found out that their food are more tasty, healthy and hygienic I feel it's one of the best budget hotel to stay and moreover it's close to market place and view point. We are definitely going to consider Richwin hotel for our next visit. Highly recommended if you are visiting Kodai for the first time Cons: The parking space is limited. Also they won't provide separate pass from forest office to visit Berijam lake. You have to arrange yourself if you are planning one!
We were a group of 11 members and we visited Kodaikanal. Based upon reviews we had booked Richwin Hotel for our stay in the month of December 15. Hotel location is very nice. Not too far from the market and the view was amazing. We got one room which had balcony so we could see scenery. Since it was December month so climate was cool and sitting in sunlight felt really good. On top floor there is restaurant where we get food/snacks. They have room service too. He prepared the tea as per our taste. Hotel rooms/bathroom were very clean. Hot water was available till morning 11 am. Overall very nice experience. We will recommend to my other friends too.
The stay at Richwin Hotel is very good. Rooms are neat and clean. Service is good. Food is also good. In general it is good hotel to stay In October, I along with my wife visited Kodaikanal. The climate was good, we had a nice time. The hotel staff were cooperative. The cost of the hotel is also reasonable. Nice roof garden restaurant to enjoy in the mornings and evenings. The hotel is nearby to Cookers walk, Bryant Park and Kodaikanal Lake.
It was the February month I waist ed this hotel and was a holiday trip with my wife for adventurous purpose. The destination was very good but I was not able to enjoy the place most as it was only a one day trip. The location of the hotel was also very good. The best way to reach the hotel was through walking from the bus stop. The appearance of the hotel was good enough as the hotel was looking quite nice. The reception area was also good as the staff's at the reception were very helpful and co-operative. I booked the hotel online. Rooms in the hotel were nice as the room was really good for two people but the washroom in the room was not that clean. Services provided by the hotel were fine as whatever we ask for was always on time. The foods in the hotel were not that good as the north Indian food was not provided by the hotel. The hotel had provided complimentary breakfast and that was little nice. I stayed in the hotel only for one day and so I don't know about any of the other activities in the hotel. WiFi facility was available in the hotel and was free. The hotel was really good for the family travelers, but I would like to suggest to the hotelier that they should provide good north Indian foods also they would try to maintain the cleanliness of the hotel.
