The resort is a small 12 room property on the banks of the Vembrand lake. It is next to Zuri resort, but of coz cannot be compared to it. The resort has a very small pool and not much activity or space. The view of the lake is hidden due to the house boats docked all the time. The rooms are large, comfortable, bathroom is clean and spacious. The service could be tad better. We asked for mosquito repellent which never came. Food is average, may try out better places outside. \'Tharvaad\' - a local toddy and food joint has excellent choices at very reasonable price. Its near the bird sanctuary.

The best part of the resort is the view of the lake. The hotel however has made no arrangements for the guests to sit and enjoy the sunset there. Few plastic chairs are placed, but are so dirty that you don\'t feel like using them. The hotel and its staff is more interested in pushing its expensive speed boat rides ( Rs. 2000 for a couple for 2 hrs).

The best thing to do here is to take the house boat. Its expensive too, but is a treat of a lifetime. Service at the boat was very good. They pamper you well and show you around, cook good food as well. But do not buy seafood from the houseboat, they are very expensive and not worth it. (paid 900 rupees for a kilo of prawn, that were cooked horribly in the end) Make sure you carry DVDs and music Cds for this ride. Also carry own liqour on the boat.

Overall liked the place due to its location, house boat, excellent rooms. Service however needs to improve.

My take - Above average to Good !!!

Best Experience: The rooms and bathroom are large, spacious and modern. The resort itself is beautiful. The canal/ moat around the cottages add to the beauty. The view and location is excellent. Food service and room service staff is good. The house boat stunning and the trip is awesome. Its a must do here. Playing badminton at the resort was fun.

Worst Experience: We ordered for mosquito repellent, never got. Had to ask for fresh glasses and drinking water. The reception staff was curt. Insisted us to pay by cash. Service charge (10%) on food is not given to staff by the management (as told at reception). The resort staff is pushy in selling expensive boat rides. Cheaper options available outside.

I had visited this hotel with my family. I had booked the room by online. The hotel was located outside the city. I went to this hotel by my own car. The appearance of the hotel was very good. The check-in and check-out was on time. 24 hours room service was available in the hotel. The service of the hotel was good. The room was spacious and clean. All amenities were working properly in the room. Hot water facility was provided by the hotel. The complimentary breakfast was provided but I taste. I had lunch and dinner in the hotel and food quality was fine. The swimming pool was available in the hotel but I use. The lake and boating activities were nearby the hotel. The overall experience was superb in the hotel. WiFi service was available in the hotel but I use. I would suggest this hotel to replace switchboards. I would recommend this hotel to upcoming travellers.

We had 10 days tour all over Kerala and this is the only hotel that could give us the worst experience. The only positive about this resort is the view from balcony & the location of the reosrt just beside the back water. And one has to scratch one's head to dig what other positives could be about this resort. I will list down a few negative experiences - Facilities (swimming pool, gym were worst and more importantly food was damn worst . . 1- Starting from the reception. Its more unprofessional and the receptionist without knowing our prior booking details, allotted a wrong room and after we settle, were asked to move to another room, which was irking 2. The swimming pool is damn dirty. Our kids excited to know of the swimming pool & wants to spend some good time, but were very disappointed to see the cleanliness of water 3. Post that, we were very hungry and went to restaurant. The food was damn worst. Though were hungry we were to leave the food as it is after tasting few gulps 4. No hot water available. They said it will be avaialable on request but one has to wait for too long for hot water 5. The tap water in Bath room was too dirty. When enquired, we got the answer the overhead tank is being cleaning, so is the dirty water So in total, this reort gave us a pathetic experience Regards ,. Surendar

Not recommended for families. Ideal for having bachelor parties. We were the only family of us) staying in the ground floor and there was a newlywed couple staying in first floor. No other guests were staying in the resort. Resort front desk staff (only one man works from morning to evening) available after 7 PM and only a cook & room boy were available till 9 PM. Will have a graveyard feeling after 9 PM. No perimeter fencing, No security guard and no proper lighting on roads connecting to this resort that is located far from the main road and surrounded by many plants/trees and water on one side. Service / Facilities - During our stay it rained and there it was a black-out with no power supply. No backup power generator and resort personnel were not available after 9 pm. Around 11 pm power went out and it was a blackout. We were afraid to come out of room as it was pitch black (You'll get to experience feeling of cast crew from Chronicles of Riddick / Aliens). Only light we had was the Mobile torch. No proper ventilation / air circulation and were sweating badly - because no power, cannot keep the French window or main door open due to the surroundings, windows attached to French window cannot be kept open because it allows stranger to open the French window. Moreover you can expected uninvited insects and snakes due to surrounding. Swimming pool water is not recycled (I. E. Water doesn't get recycled by rotation & filtering similar to professional swimming pools). It's more of a water tank with tiles on the inner side. Plenty of water borne insects and moss. There's a small room with few thread mills (not in working condition) and rusted dumbbells and weights. But entire room flooring and all equipments were beautifully painted by pigeon & bird shit. Additional decoration by feathers (plenty) and spider webs. Not a place for health freak to visit, rather it's a place for someone who dares to challenge their body resistance. Food & Drink - If your body resistance is high and if your okay to experience Man Vs Nature (Nat Geo) show, please go ahead and have just water. If your a vegetarian (not okay to have insects in your food) then please visit restaurants in other resorts 2 or 3 Kms away from Manor. Manor will give you final destination experience that you would never want to go through. Have thrill, have adventure if you visit this place.

Services were reasonably good. Rooms were nice and it was facilitated TV, AC, geyser and other necessity items were available in the room and they all were functioning properly. Outside view was available from the room window. I had food inside the hotel and it was fine. Both varieties were available veg and non-veg. I think the charge of the room was around 6500 rupees for one day. Location wise, the hotel was conveniently located. Inside and outside look of the hotel was nice. They served complimentary breakfast. I went there with my family for sightseeing in December month 2013. Travel desk facility was available there but I did arrange myself. Parking space was available in the hotel. Activities were available there and they all were complimentary. Check-in and check-out procedure was on time. I was satisfied with this hotel. Cost wise the hotel was okay.
