This was a wonderful place to stay in and we chose it just by the ratings and reviews on net! It turned out to be a great decision . . The resort is very well located among apple and other trees, having wonderful views of the snow clad peaks, which is the first sight that greets you when you wake up. The tents are very spacious with equally comfortable attached toilets having wash basins and mirrors and English style seats. Hot water is available on demand. There are a couple of cottages too which are warmer than the tents and will be better accommodation for the elderly and infants. Mr. Negi is a wonderful host, very accommodating and informative about the Kinnaur valley and around. He'll help you plan all your excursions. The staff is very co-operative and eager to assist and do every errand that you may ask them and the cook. Well, he's superlative and prepares mouth watering delicacies, which you can order as per your taste. To top it all, you have free access to their kitchen and can make your own preparations too. We had 'happy hours' every evening around a bonfire which was well stocked with wood ( only fallen timber was procured for this and they lasted well into the night. We were a group of eleven, and each one of us enjoyed the hospitality and comfort offered by Mr. Negi at this resort. Anytime we visit Kalpa, our stay will be here. Love the place.
No problem in reaching the hotel since it is well located. Staff were very less since that was a small resort but they were hygienic. Exterior look was excellent but interior was not that great. That is a type of cottage are big size and tents are small size however I stayed in cottage which was normal. AC is not required also there was a mountain view absorbed. Food was excellent and no problem faced in check-in and check-out process. This was a family trip went for relaxation purpose went in June 2012 and I am from Delhi. I suggest improving in cottages and I had excellent experience at the hotel. I suggest others since the pay is valuable.
This hotel was first class. The interior and exterior was good. It was a trip with friends. The staff behaviour was friendly and good. The rooms were spacious and painted very well. The food quality was very nice and breakfast was complimentary. There was no other activity and no sightseeing trip. I definitely recommend this hotel for others. The parking facility was good.
The hotel is at very good and peaceful location. We went there with our family as well as our pet. He also enjoyed there a lot. The food was awesome as we eat at home. We went there for many times every time we get the same service all staff is good. We are always thankful to the staff for their services. The rates of everything there is reasonable.
Pleasant stay with nice view close to nature !!! Clear view of Himalayas peaks. Best time to visit is winter as the place experiences heavy snowfall. A small town with Buddhist temple. A place to go. Cut off from city life. You will feel exotic as the place cleanses your soul in a unique way. Road to kalpa is also beautiful.
