I booked the rooms of this hotel directly on the spot and had no hassles in booking. It was located near the area where Kathakali dance shows were held. I stayed here for 3 days and overall experience was good. A homely place to stay. No food was available in the hotel therefore, it was taken from outside. There was no room service; self service. Since it was in the middle of the town everything was available in the shops nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious with geyser in the bathroom, TV and they were neat and clean. This place was cool so the rooms and windows had to be closed. There were no activities available. The vehicles were arranged by the hotel for sightseeing. I made a romantic trip with my wife to this beautiful place in October 2013. This hotel is recommendable to other travellers.
It has been an unique one of a kind holiday experience at Maranat Mana Resort. Gave an exhilarating experience to see first hand the rural lifestyle of Kerala villages. Wonderful surroundings of greenery. The personal involvement of the owners made the stay much more worthwhile. A lot of information on olden Kerala customs and huge collection of ancestral photographs and cooking utensils make it very enlightening. Excellent vegetarian food. Unique experience of observing. At close quarters the customs and traditions followed in Kerala from olden times.
One main plus point of Sopanam Homestay is their awesome, delicious vegetarian meal including the rice and all the side dishes. Rooms are pretty comfy and the room service is also pretty good. Spacious rooms at affordable prices. Ideally located since it's close to few tourist attractions. The main attraction is the food!
