Sagar Resorts, Manali is where my wife and I spent our recent vacation in December. The hill station of course needs no introduction and we will recommend this resort to be an above average accommodation and will remember our stay here for the breathtaking scenic beauty as much as for the economical and comfortable stay without undue extravagance. Sagar Resort is tucked away at a ten minute walk from the bustling Mall and bus stand area. We zeroed in on this resort as it would give us accessibility to the central township whithout the clutter and didn't of the markets. ( This was important for city slickers like us, not used to huffing and puffing through narrow and inclined roads far away from central locations. ). The portico and lobby at Sagar Resorts turned out to be bright and spacious. The welcome itself was friendly and professional with our Delhi bookings getting instantly endorsed leading us through well appointed corridors to one of the 52 deluxe rooms. The rooms are adequately sized with thoughtful provisions of a room heater and a spacious bathtub. The window curtains itself drew out to magnificent snow peaked mountains that flanked the resort on either side . . The room service was warm and prompt. Whatever doubts we had about booking a prepaid MAP ( Modified American Plan inclusive of breakfast and luch/dinner) soon evaporated at the sight of hot parathas, puris and tea. Overall the food served was simple without being very rich. However for all promptness, one constant irritant was the buzzing of the floor service bell that received requests from different occupants. Another improvement could be the extension of hot water supply in the afternoons, which currently is limited only in the mornings and evenings. The stay turned out to be a zero effort holiday as the help desk enthusiastically helped arrange for local sightseeing and must see visits to Rohtang Pass amongst others. In addition, for those preferring to laze out in the hotels Sagar Resorts provided for reasonable recreational facilities like billiards, badminton and table tennis within the facility. The bonfire party on the resort lawns under the starry skies will remain a memborable memory of the trip. We were in another world or so we thought until my Mobile decided to remind me that my vacation is over… courtesy Airtel. As we returned to Delhi I took one last peek at the mountains and strangely found myself humming the Eagles number" You can check out anytime you like… but you can never leave". I have been to Shimla and Manali tour for my first vacation after my marriage with my hubby Mr. Satyajit Das. Perhaps to make an unforgettable trip and have the moments for my further life. So it had to be the most curious journey for me. We have been to hotel Himview for two days and two nights Hotel Himview holds a good place near the Vyas River and I was quiet happy to get the first glimpse of the hotel. We were received quite cordially at reception and good were the way to our room through the garden. I got the corner room of ground floor on the left side of staff room after garden. But on entering the room when I was just to fall on the bed, as after a long I saw that the bed sheets and pillow covers were quite dirty and looking disgusting. The room was stinking of humidity even the towel which was providing to us was not worth using (and also there was a big spider there which was approximately 2 inches wide). I had called to reception at least five times and even after that when I got no response I remained there in reception to get my problem solved for approximately an hour. We were told that the clothes were in laundry. But I think as Himview is a good name in Hotels list these thing should be minded for the customers. The name of the hotel is Himview but what I could see from my room was garden soil mismanaged and as well as the wall of staff rooms there which was in not good condition as the wall was unevenly plastered and whitewash was not in good condition and after that it is that perhaps as the other hotel were there in between mountain range and Vyas River and Hotel Himview The food was good and the attending staff was good too. What amendments I would suggest you is to take care of basic needs first. The clothes the room fresheners and driers as well. The reception should be somewhat more attentive to the customers and their basic needs. The garden is spacious it may beautify the image of the hotel so it must be maintained more smartly. A little management of shadow can be done over the garden as when it rains the customers may enjoy the beauty of nature (as this time we have to run to our rooms when it rained). If it could be done a new variety of dishes may be added to eat. It would be better if customer choice may be asked and followed in time of breakfast, lunch or dinner. I will think that I got prize when these amendments are done on your side
Great hotel to stay in Manali. Even though a bit far from Manali town, it's still the best one. Service was excellent. Room was clean and the view was priceless. Restaurant was nice with good choice. They arranged some trekking and rafting too. Overall a very nice experience.
There was no problem to find out the hotel's location. I visited there in April 2014. It was located not more than 3 or 4 km away from bus stop. There were some hotels and many shops available in surroundings of the hotel. Experience wise, it is just like a home for me. Lobby of the hotel was wonderful. I liked it very much. Bonfire was arranged by them in night. It was both family and official visit. Hotel staff behaviour was very friendly with us. Rajiv was very nice in this hotel who was the assistant manager there. Staff people were quick to attend to all our requests. Check-in and check-out was done on time. Table tennis, billiards, football and cricket for children, etc. Were available there. Exterior of the hotel was wonderful and interior wise, it was good. Room was very good and it was maintained. TV was there. Hot water was provided by them at fix time. Scenery view was visible from the room. It was wonderful. Washroom, furnishings, and all were clean and hygienic there. They used to clean the room regularly. Both veg and non-veg dishes were served by them. Quality wise, it was good and price was okay. Sightseeing trip was not arranged by them for us. Manali is a very good place to go. Money spend there was worth. I would like to refer this hotel to other people. Travellers should stay in this hotel.
HPTDC owned Rohtang Manalsu offers basic accommodation for budget travelers. It is located at a 10 to 15 mins. Walking distance from the Mall road. For around Rs. 400 we got a basic room with attached bath & it was value for money for sure. It has a nice garden with different varieties of flowers. Check in & check out was instant. We were allowed to Check in some 2 hrs. before normal check in time. Room service also was good. They also have Deluxe & Family rooms. Duration of our stay at this place was for just one night (since Manali was only a stopover for us as our destination was Leh) although short but comfortable
Best Experience: Nice flowers in the garden & allowing us to check in 2 hrs. Before actual time.
Worst Experience: Little bit of coloring / refurnishing interiors would be good for hotel rooms.
