It was an awesome trip in Manali last week with my friends. We had 3N and 4D plan, we booked our room in Apple Bud Cottages, we found the same images which was shared on internet. The hotel was very neat and clean, it is located at near around Bus Stand which was very convenient to reach the hotel. Rooms were very clean so that was very comfortable for us. There were clean bathroom, gallery, terrace and specially rooms. The room service and housekeeping were also nice. The hotel staff were very nice, they were polite and helpful. The food of hotel was very tasty so we had our food in hotel. The transportation was nice as it was very convenient, there were very nice view in Rohtang Pass I will recommend others to spend their special moment in Manali with nice service of Hotel Apple Bud as the hotel is located at very nice place and center point of the market. If you go to Manali, take the best service of the same. I will definitely go to Manali again and will enjoy the snowfall and best view of India.
I was planning a year end trip from 22 December - 29 December (2015) with my wife and another couple (my friend and his wife). We decided to go for the snow peak mountains in the winters and hence Manali We thought of doing all by ourselves and involve no travel agents in between. So I was surfing the net for an accommodation in Manali, when all by stroke of luck, I happened to stumble upon a site- "guesthouser. Com" and they showed some very good properties, majority of them were cottages at very scenic locations. I liked the idea of having an entire cottage to our disposal. The deal was fantastic and I took the plunge Cut to the chase - we checked in the evening and the cottage was decent but cold as the temperature was slipping into the minus zone. Talking about amenities, hot water was available 24/7 but what was not effective was the heaters (for which they charged extra and I found that obnoxious as in winters in Manali, you are bound to use heaters). Food was good, but costly (which was expected). What was real tough was parking your vehicle. The parking is accessed by a steep slope which if dry is okay to drive on but in winters, a thin layer of ice is formed over it and it makes the climb nearly impossible. So parking is an issue definitely Service guys were decent, mannered and addressed our queries on timely manner. There is fire place inside the cottage (in the hall) If you are gang then this is a very viable option. Manali Mall Road is about 2KM from there, I would recommend the place for people who looks for something different.
We went there with a group of 11 people, in early February 2015, hence we had booked the complete cottage. We were very excited to see the interiors of cottage and also the outside view. There were 3 rooms above, 2 rooms below and a common room with a TV, sofa and heaters. All in all, it had a complete homely feel to it. Also the caretaker for the cottage was very helpful as the owners were not there There is a common toilet for all the above rooms, this may be of inconvenience to families, but to us there was no issue, as we were all students. In our package we also had dinner and breakfast, so we were really hoping for good food. But, it was rather ordinary, both the veg and non veg. Also the food is not cooked in the cottage kitchen, hence it was not as fresh, although it was warm The major plus point of the cottage is the common hall, because we really enjoyed talking, drinking apple cider late at night. Caretaker was friendly and exchanged many stories regarding his travels. Also in warmer season they also provide camping facilities The view outside was really very beautiful. There is an apple garden right below the cottage, there were no apple at that time but a great walk. The hotel is situated at the end of tree line, which feels very refreshing. Situated close to Naggar castle this has feel of recluse as well as many options to roam around in quaint little village Tips to travellers: Opt for lower level rooms & to book whole cottage for homely feel & for tents if possible.
We stayed at Thomas Villa on 3-5th October. Hotel was full packed because of long holiday. Hotel location is not so good if you don't have your own cab. Hotel is located in a developing area which is 2 KM far from Mall Road Rooms of the hotel was good. Staff is very nice and polite. If you are planing to go to Rohtang pass: Please take cab from hotel only as they provide you best rates. We tried rates out side which was around 2500 but hotel guys had managed it at INR 1700. Owner of the Hotel is also nice (but he sits at Chandigarh office). Food quality of hotel was not good because at mountains you typically get taste less food. Hotel is 100% veg that's another drawback for us.
My stay was for five days there. It was a honeymoon trip in October month 2013. I did not face any problem to find this hotel. I booked my room through a travel agent and they charged double. Appearance of the hotel was gorgeous. Staff behaviour was very nice and they had given on time services. Atmosphere of the hotel was like a homely. There was no delay in check-in and check-out facility. I booked deluxe room there and it was spacious. Staff of the hotel was cleaning the room on a daily basis. Blanket, washroom and other furnishing were in clean condition. All basic amenities were functioning properly like heater, etc. Garden was available there and I like it. Lawn was also very nice. 24hrs hot water facility was available. I had my food inside the hotel and I liked it. I preferred room service in food. Money wise, the food was reasonable. Nothing was available in activities like swimming pool, I liked the room services very much of this hotel. Overall, my stay there was best. I have already recommended this hotel to my friends.
