I stayed here and felt so happy because of the location of hotel. The hotel is located in posh area of city. Staff were so good and helpful. The appearance was much better. Food and drink served was good, it provided good rooms in affordable price. So, the Gulf Hotel is good for all.
Stay at the hotel was very nice. Location of the hotel was very good. Booking and front office staff was perfect. Services were fast. I had no problem to find this hotel. Staff behaviour was professional and friendly. Rooms were neat and clean but not spacious. Pillow cover and bed sheet was neat and clean. AC, geyser, everything were available and working properly. LCD TV was also there. I enjoyed only my breakfast in the hotel and it was okay. I took my lunch and dinner outside the hotel. Nothing was available in activities. They proved cab facility for sightseeing there. They charged Rs. 1000 per day. Hotel is recommendable for other travellers. Overall, the destination was good.
As I was on trip one of my visit was Mumbai, which is called heart or dream city, most people come here for job and with big dream. I visit here, it is awesome city near Sea, as new to Mumbai this was a great and budget hotel to stay. I stayed here for 3 days as this was within my pocket including food. There is a tradition food of Marathi with lots of spicy and this tour was awesome to me staying near Sea for more time, visiting mall and eating Vada pav, their traditional.
The location of the hotel is simply amazing. Located in Colaba the posh area of Mumbai, Hotel Gulf offers good rooms at very affordable prices. The hotel is located on the upper floors of a building and one might find it a little difficult to locate it. The service is decent But the location is what makes this hotel THE place to stay. Gateway of India, Taj and Trident hotels, Colaba causeway, everything is at a walk able distance from the hotel. There are lots of amazing restaurants and eateries located nearby like Colaba Social, Bade Miyan etc The rooms are very clean and well kept, the staff are decent and the manager helps you out with anything you need. Had a pleasant stay for 2 nights here. Enjoyed my Mumbai experience.
Prime location, improvement in facilities & comfort
Mumbai was final destination in our tour of the Golden Triangle (Dehli, Agra, Jaipur) and Goa The Godwin Hotel was booked by a local package holiday company and attracted a surcharge compared to hotel in central/north Mumbai area. Initial room offered faced construction of nieghbour's building on a lower floor that was noisy. This was kindly changed to a 'super deluxe' room on higher floor and front facing room at 'no additional charge'. The hotel prides itself being given a 3 star rating but having stayed in 4 star hotels in Delhi, Jaipur, Goa etc, Godwin Hotel was a steep drop in hotel modernity (e. G. Lift kept breaking); room facilities (e. No hair dryer, no complimentary tea/coffee/water etc) and basic breakfast spread. Above was all made up by an enthusiastic reception staff which wanted to assist and please The Godwin Hotel location is perhaps its best selling point for it is: 1) in the prime Colaba location close to many of historical, colonial buildings and Mumbai points of interest, many within walking distance; 2) close to shopping area where local and branded goods e. Levis, Nike etc. Could be purchased at very reasonable prices supported by the currently high Sterling pound to rupees exchange rate (£1=IRP 98-99); 3) close to restaurants which offer exciting Indian cuisine e. Delhi Darbar (a visit here is must! And suitable for the western stomachs and 4) away from the crowded, chaotic central Mumbai area. On a non-business visit to India, I would stay in the Colaba area but would seek to explore improvements in hotel facilities and comfort.
