I was looking for a resort at an affordable price as I was sponsoring this trip for my Brother and Sister in Law. It was my Sister in Law's 1st visit to Mysore. I booked it through phone reservations, the place was away from the city noise on the Madikeri National Highway. The place was beautifully built, with Restaurant and Bar. The rooms were very exquisite. At that price it was more than worth, with very good service and well maintained clean and neat rooms. Food quality was very good, and prices were also not that high. You can enjoy the pool side experience during the night time, the looks very grand. Though the other activities section was in progress, it was not ready. But a very enthralling experience. Worth the stay. Thank You Grand Maurya Resort. Hope to come again.
I must say that the room service was very good, efficient and very hygienic. The staff were very polite and attentive to all your needs. Located very conveniently, but less far away from the city and there was no difficult to find out. Hotel appearance was excellent and the interior was well maintained. The room was so spacious with ejection interior and furniture was too good, neat and comfortable with good working basic amenities. I had food with more varieties, which was I stayed and the food was very good and they provided both veg, non-veg with reasonable cost. No problem during check-in and check-out and there were no activities. The hotel room tariff was value for money and it is recommendable to others. I went here with family for relaxation and my native place is Thanjavur and mother tongue is Tamil.
The images of the hotel could be very deceiving. The place is there in a dhaba-like setup, with a collection of small rooms where one could stay. It doesn't classify as a resort by any means. The rooms themselves are decent and clean and have an A/C. However some things did not work as expected. In our first room the Geyser didn't work and they shift us to a second room where there was a common door between our room and the adjacent one and was a lot of noise and disturbance The staff was courteous, but had no professional training and did not know what "service with a smile" means. Food was substandard and due to the bar-like atmosphere they probably only specialize in drinks and chicken starters. Luckily, there is a decent hotel across the main road where we could go for food. The location itself is good. It is in a quiet part of town while not being more than 30mins drive from the centre of the city. So connectivity was good. I wouldn't think of this as a family place, but more of a pit-stop for those travelling via Mysore. It gives off a motel like experience than a hotel .
I had been to this hotel in the month of October 2015 with friends. Destination was excellent. Location of the hotel inside the city and was excellent. Appearance of the hotel was excellent from interior and exterior. Check-in check-out was done on time. Service was on time and was excellent. Over all service was very good. Staff were cooperative and friendly. Room and toilet was neat and clean. All basic amenities were available in the hotel. I did not take food from the hotel. Activities were excellent.
When Myself and my family recently planning to visit Mysore, the heritage capital of Karnataka, after going through net, we have booked the room for 2 days stay in Ruchi, the Prince. The room was extremely well maintained, the employees attitude was so courteous right from Mr. MJ Sriram, Manager (Operations), the food was so good and the food served especially in lawn was enviable to any other hotel accommodation and has more than a five star hotel facility. The hotel has well maintained lawn, car parking facilities. If you ask me to rate this hotel experience, I would give 200 out of 100. That much was our experience in the hotel. Though we are regularly visiting Mysore and stayed so many other hotels, this is the first time, we could feel that we should stay this hotel again and again. That much was our good experience. If anybody wish to visit Mysore, we strongly (100%) recommending the visitors to experience the wonderful experience in Ruchi,
