Amazing place in midst of nature, rope way is the unique connectivity to reach hotel, as its few 100ft above the start point and only way you travel is ropeway. Romantic place for newly weds as you do not have anything apart from nature and your partner. I recommend this property for couples. The evening cool breeze is a cherry on the cake, while you have drinks in the lobby at evenings. Foods was really amazing, mouth watering kababs and non veg starters. I recommend this property.
Me and my wife really had no plans for New Years Eve till about 28th dec when we both sat down after watching TV at home and suddenly my wife asked so whats our New Years Eve plan?
If only I were smarter i would have asked her first because when the question is asked then you have the victory and answerer better be prepared or you are gone...
Thats how it all started and next day I was on mission to have a plan ready by the evening (29th Dec evening) and after calling about dozen travel agents in city and surfing web for 3 hours I almost finalised that we are going to Goa and excitedly called my wife to break the happy news.
But NO with capital N and capital O was the response, she simply was not interested and wanted to go to mountains. It was a great last minute news for me and then she suggested good ol\' Timber Trail Hieghts which on face of it sounded okay to me. So again I called up all the travel agents who would simply say that its sold out. Thats when I picked up the phone and spoke directly to Hotel guys asking for availability and the answer was no and then he said that we have a new property called Moksha Villas if you are interested. My response - YES and I am happy about that.
So Mr. Garg (owner - Timber Trail) has cracked it again and has created a property which is EXCELLENT and is gonna be better with time as he already has a spa coming up there. As if Timber Trail with Cable car to take you to Timber Trail Heights was just not enough that he has now plugged in beautifully designed LUXURIOUS Moksha Villas with a scenic views giving you international comfort at Parwanoo. To add to the flavor we even had a bottle of wine in our room, Golf Carts to take us around and 2 parties with Gala Dinner and Live Band one each on 30th and 31st night. The friendly Staff was just an add on which gave us all the better experience we have ever had while we have traveled to so many destinations in India. Mr Garg himself after all is a friendly soul.
Best Experience: What I liked: VILLA: Luxurious Villas have a small living room, big bed room and huge bathroom. The interiors are excellent and subtle at the same time with taste of international care while designing the basic stuff. Foot Lamps under the bed to illuminate the entire wooden floor with out hurting your eyes or giving you alternatively bad lighting when its just placed at some corner. Over Head Lamps again behind the bed rest. 2 Samsung LCDs, fully loaded Refrigerator, King Size bed, and everything else you possibly could have asked.
Bathrooms are big and again tastefully designed. With good range of Biotique Products kept for you to use and take away as you please. Shower corners don\'t have shower panels but just a overhead nozel which was a miss.
When I visited the entrance of the hotel at foothills of mountain I was completely astonished by the theme of the hotel to reach the actual resort site at hill top and that too by a cable car. Awesome experience. The hotel is great from Location, amenities, Food & hospitality point of view but not worth it from Cost to quality point. I had to shell off Rs. 8500 for 1 night stay, which is too much for a 4star hotel and that too at such location, else a good place for at least 1 visit
Bugged from hectic city life, visiting Parwanoo was like a fresh bout of life. A quiet, serene, romantic place away from hassles of city, no one to disturb around. For a moment we forgot our life problems and just enjoy the nature and the silence. Far away you can see the highway and numerous vehicles and lights from the terrace. The ropeway to the timber trail heights is quite an enjoyable experience. The terrace and the restaurant and the food, all add up to a total refreshing experience. Do visit if you want a quiet place to rejuvenate your life.
We were a group of around 40 people on 2 days company outing early this month to Parwanoo & had wonderful experience spending time in this quite & tranquil property, with comfortable rooms & good service . The property - Timber trail Heights - is situated on a hill top & the only way to reach is by 15 minutes a cable car ride. The whole property is distributed in 3 parts - lower Timber trail Resort from where cable car start, Timber Trail heights at 2nd level & Moksha spa further above where entry is restricted . . Timber trail Heights is the only property in the area, but in itself it is awesome. There is nothing else around, which makes it quite & peaceful. The rooms are big & cosy & the balconies open up onto the valleys & greenery below, providing excellent views of the hills & Chandigarh city. The amenities are very few but well maintained. The restaurant is well staffed & service is quick. The food quality is also good, though the variety in it is limited. We had same items in breakfast on both days. The conference room is small, but has all required equipments. There is no swimming pool. The lawn & garden is big enough & provides excellent views of the evening sunset. The staff is courteous & cooperative & prompt enough to help with any issues. All this, coupled with excellent pleasant weather made our stay really memorable .
