Hello everyone, I have visited this hotel on 16/4/2017 after searching almost all the hotels in Khajjiar. After Reading the reviews on shining star, I decided to book this hotel on my honeymoon. I'm writing here what I exactly felt during my 2 days stay. It is located near Khajjiar lake(5 min walk), which is a plus point as this valley is the main attraction. What I liked about the hotel:-. 1) front view/reception area. 2) all 3 rooms options are great, standard-deluxe - super deluxe. I highly recommend you to go for Deluxe as it is more comfortable then super deluxe. 3) room service is fast. What I didn't liked:-. 1) costly food (I have attached a pic of menu card). 2) there are some items missing from the menu which are not available that time. 3) dish tv was not working that time. They said they will recharge it, however they recharged it for 1 day instead of 2 days. What I suggest:-. Hotel is excellent and budget friendly, I suggest you to book it from any app so that you can get better discount. PRO TIP :- Give tip to the waiter when he serves you first time. You'll get a better service
We stayed at this beautiful property for 2 nights, at the end of October. From outside it looked like a typical local cute Tibetian style home. We had booked 2 rooms and we stayed at the first floor, facing front side. The rooms were large and cosy with beautiful decor. At Kaza none of us had Mobile network. And this hotel had free WiFi which had a very good range, though not very fast, but it was good to have that much needed connectivity at this remote part of India. The geyser perfectly worked fine and the room was comfortable, when the minimum temperature at night was -15C. We loved the food of the hotel. We even asked for some extra gravy and chicken in our one plate order, which they happily served. Last day we had to start very early morning. They were happy to serve us breakfast at 7am, when we all were shivering in cold. The hotel is near a petrol pump and yes the petrol pump mentioned that its the world's highest retail petrol pump :). Also there is a little restaurant serving good thukpa, momo near the petrol pump where we had thukpa twice. Kaza market is around 6-7 minutes walk from the hotel.
Arrived late at night and they boys were very friendly and welcoming. Room was better than expected and warm at night. Room was regularly cleaned, a really hot shower and balcony with incredible views of the mountains! Great food, attentive service with the best view from the rooftop restaurant. Awesome comfortable place to sit, eat, chat or read. Great bunch of staff. Throughout our stay the boys could not have been any more helpful. If we make it back to this magic place, we will come back to stay with you boys again for sure.
