less crowd , to go to the place by bus is really tiresome from pollachi taking a bus is very difficult. Getting a seat more difficult
Worst Experience: lot of noice from the motor (water pumping), pests , bed cover worst , pillow not good, no hot water. For hot water bath you have to go down with towel , soap (ha ha) and take bath in a dormitory (4 bedded room)
When we booked in this hotel, we were expecting it to cover bare minimum standard. On check-in the staff confused us by asking us if we really want to stay in the non-AC room. So, they showed their next Deluxe room (which was spic and span) to tempt us, and showed our booked Non-AC room (beds not cleared, and had a dingy feeling). We opted for the Deluxe room. The room was good with clean Bath facilities. However the shower does not work well. You have to call them to change your beds and replenish supplies. They introduce you to a local tour agent, who charges astronomical amount for a 1 - 2 hour sight seeing the forest !! Possibly the hotel or someone there gets their cut out of this. Finally, on check-out I was given a small slip of paper as bill settlement. When asked why no proper bill, they said they will include tax for proper bill. When I questioned that the price published included tax, they said there will be no discount (I had got a small discount) if I want a proper bill. Overall it is a hotel which is located well, has good facilities (revamping) and can improve. But professionalism of staff and service needs a real overall
This is the only decent hotel located in valparai or valpari. Infact this is the only hotel in town. Rest proper accommodation facilites are all available in the form of tea estate bungalows. The Rooms in the main Hotel next to the SBI bank are pretty sick with almost no windows. They have a Homestay, 1km away from the hotel. When taken there we discovered that It was only the back part of a house which is more like 4 hotel rooms. Decenet charge after negotiation of RS 900/night. No food, No water in the room. But this still has some view.
Kumar sankar - we a group of friends visited Munnar and stayed in green hills hotel, The service was excellent and rooms where in good condition and staff behaved well and friendly. Its near to lot of sight seeing locations. Good place to stay. WiFi signal was bit week. Could have improved it.
