Roads in Delhi are too good! But as you enter up, horrible roads! Only the Meerut Bypass is good! And also roads in Uttrakhand are also better than up! Ps : Jain Shikanji at Moradabad is a must;) Also if you have time, you can visit Chotta Haridwar! Useful tip : petro;/diesel is cheaper in Delhi! :P

Roads are excellent, started the journey from New Delhi by Maruti Swift Dzire and it was awesome and the driver was good. We were travelling to Mussourie, Dhanaulti, Rishikesh, Auli and Haridwar by taxi. The snowfall in Auli is excellent through out the day seeming like staying at Switzerland, watching Arati at Haridwar is awesome, lovely greens in Mussourie.

Good journey but take breaks during travel
5.5/7

Huge traffic jam during peak hours in Muzaffarnagar and Roorkee. Good places to eat in the middle and make sure you take breaks during the journey and stay in a good hotel in Haridwar. Local market is good near har ki pauri.

Must visit: Mansa devi by cable car, carry your woollens. It gets very very cold during night and early morning.

Enjoyed every moment of the journey from New Delhi to Haridwar

Everything about the journey was good, there were a lot of dhabas to be stopped by which provided amazing food. Basically the distance was long but the traveller which we took was fun enough for me and my family. Really enjoyed every moment of the journey from New Delhi to Haridwar. There were lots of places to see more on the way to Haridwar but we couldn't do this time due to some unavoidable change of plans so hopefully we will take it to the rest of the places next time with the family or group.

Highway was good without traffic congestion

Highway was good without traffic congestion but at some places only one way road is there leading to traffic jams and chances of collision if you are drunk. Best time to start is around 5 in morning. I travelled my own car Wagon CNG and it was very much cost effective as in around 10 kg CN you can reach Haridwar from Delhi which is merely 381 Rs.
