A romantic anniversary trip

One of the most liberating, relaxing, romantic holidays ever. North Goa is ideal for parties, sightseeing, trying out different restaurants, local cuisine, pubs and shopping. But North Goa while it offers plenty of activities and fun, is also v. Crowded. South Goa is more exclusive, secluded romantic more expensive but ideal for relaxation and peace/romance. It is best to keep south Goa at the end of the trip once you are done with all the activities and roaming around In a nutshell:. Best of north Goa - Sinquirim beach and fort . V. Underrated and must visit Accommodation north Goa - Calangute. Food and shopping north Goa - Baga. Swimming and bathing north Goa - Anjuna. Pubs on the beach north Goa - Anjuna. Best of south Goa - Palolem and Canacuna (the lalith) Personally I prefer Baga for shopping and dining on the beach. The food and shopping options are better in Baga. Calangute shopping joints don't have that great collection. However the beach shacks in Calangute are nearer to the sea though food is better in Baga. Please carry beach slippers because the ones you get here won't last. Dresses and beach wear are average so better to carry some and pick up some if you like. When it comes to accommodation in North Goa please choose Calangute. The best facilities, best location and best hotels near the beach at affordable prices are in Calangute. From here rent a bike and other beach like bags anjuna will be hardly 15mins. The hotels and ambience in Calangute is more family and couple friendly. I'm Baga some hotels play loud music till wee hours and in Anjuna only few are near the beach. Anjuna also seems to have power and water problem so best to visit these places by bike. Vagator sinquirim and candolim are also nearby from Calangute. The must visit spot I feel is sinquirim especially during sunset. For South Goa it is best to choose a luxury resort and if possible with a private beach and just relax or spend a romantic holiday. Lalith in canacuna is a good option. South Goa has more secluded private beaches ideal for swimming walking star gazing lounging and relaxing on the sunbeds. There are hardly other travelers around in private beaches. Romantic dinners and long walks are great ideas. A day in the pool is another option. I had a great time doing nothing and watching the waves go by.

Not for family holiday

It's not worth going with family to Goa . Friends or on honey moon it's OK . It's useless to go with kids since it's not worth . Glory of God is not seen anywhere it's better of past not anymore . Goa is good for freaking out in group . I personally recommend to go to kokan rather than Goa on family holiday . It's my personal opinion.

Goa in rain

Its sultry in Goa during rainy season. But when in North Goa specially Candolim-Calangute area it hardly matter though no beach activities but lot of fun in rain soaked Goa . Its best place during winter in India. Relaxed and laid back people every body in the mood of joy. But need to slow mindless construction.

Excellent

Goa is an excellent place to visit. Its lush greenery, deft weather, serene sea beaches at each step, ferry, Aguada fort, historical monuments, churches and civil architechure of old portugees style sometimes gives feeling of being an European town .

Goa in Monsoon

Goa is always beautiful during monsoon. It's the best time to relax & regain tranquility. The weather is beautiful which help you to go away with stress & gets you the energy required for daily hassle of life . We have been visiting go every year & never got bored of it. Every time it offers something new.

Good

Goa is good, but food and restaurant are average. I am pure vegetarian. And is not available in test. Tastey tea is very hard to get. No paani poori outlet. Morning time for every restaurant to open is 8am. And till you have to wait for breakfast. Mostly I don't like what in Goa is only food. Everything is OK.
