Though the train starts from Yesvantpur junction in night but one gets to see the amazing scenic beauty next day morning as train chugs through the konkan belt. I always wait when the train halts at kukke subramanya station where one can enjoy the combination of hot tea and traditional mangalore buns. The train is good. A comfortable journey one can enjoy.

I went to Mangalore from Bangalore for an Official visit. I travelled through train and it was a pleasant and comfortable journey. I think it is Kannur Express. Train started on time and reached the destination on time. Bangalore City Junction is a good railway station. You have good facilities. Hotels are available. Information are given at various places.

Indian Railways need to improve a lot, very stinky toilets even in 3 tier AC. Better to go by flight if you can afford and book in advance as in train it takes 12 hrs. The bed linen they provide was also in very bad condition.so always plan in advance and book your flight tickets to Mangalore.

The train met with a small accident and we had to travel back to Bangalore. It then took a long route to reach Bangalore. The train has to be cleaned and maintained. The toilets need to be clean and not smell bad.
