Route: Bangalore to Kochi (Cochin)

"Relaxed ride but no frills"

Posted 7 January, 2015

It was the first time I was travelling to Kochi by train as I had a friend to accompany me. We were pretty surprised to find the 2 AC coach virtually empty. Also there are very limited refreshment options as there was no in-house pantry. We had to take the pre-packed meals offered by the vendor. A word of caution to foodies, please carry food from outside or you would be stuck with the limited options.

"Excellent train journey"

Posted 11 November, 2014

Nothing to mention about this. It was a nice and an excellent train journey and was always comfortable. So thanks to the train who helped us to rest and gave us good service. Thanks to Indian Railways. It\'s better now to improve a lot. So will get the same service like in Europe. If some Indian change their mind from \"Mehnga he vala\" as they want good service also and cheap as well as both cant be afford at the same time you have to either pay or take it what it is.

"It’s a complete AC train; no water & refreshments available in the train "

Posted 8 August, 2014

Train was half an hour delayed and the price was reasonable and they had only AC compartments. The seat were in good condition, had a good sleep, the route does not provide as such great views and it does not pass through any interesting places or stations. You won’t get vada pav, chaat and all while travelling to Kerala, yeah we will be getting tea and idli. The toilets were clean, but we need to pay some cash for pillow and sheets. They won’t provide water and refreshments in the train. We can get water and refreshments from stations. There was no harassment, but the train does not run every day.
