Located in the western part of the country and by the Arabian Sea, Goa is one of India’s most popular beach destinations. Over the year Goa has a tropical climate, leaning mostly towards hot and humid with temperature remaining mostly constant. The weather here does not alter much throughout the year, although it is more pleasant in the winter months.

Summer in Goa is from March to May. It becomes hot and very humid during the summer months. Maximum temperature is about 45° Celsius and minimum is around temperature is 25° Celsius. During the summers, the days are hot and the nights are warm. Due to its proximity to the sea, there is often a pleasant breeze, especially by the seaside which makes the evening and night pleasant.
Between the months of June and September Goa experiences the monsoon season. During this time, there is heavy rainfall, often accompanied by strong winds. The average rainfall during this time is from 2500 mm to 3000 mm.

Winter in Goa starts around the month of November and continues till March. During this season, the weather becomes quite mild and pleasant. The minimum temperature is around 15° Celsius and goes up to a maximum of 30° Celsius. Goa gets the maximum number of tourists at this time of the year, so it is advisable to make advanced reservations in hotels before reaching it.

The best season to visit Goa is during the winter months from November to March. Apart from this being the festival time with carnivals and festivities, the weather is ideal for a vacation. There is no rainfall and the temperature is not too high for tourists to explore the place and enjoy the beaches that Goa is famous for.
